Several recent incidents on campuses show that Jew-hate and double standards are alive and well.
In February 2010, a student at the University of California, San Diego, left a noose dangling from a bookcase in the school library. Although the noose was directed at no individual student, the obvious racial overtones of this symbol of the Southern lynch mob provoked predictable outrage.
In protest, students occupied the chancellors office. A campus teach-in on tolerance was held. Black students publicly expressed their indignation, pain, and fear to a sympathetic campus administration. The chancellor issued an uncompromising statement condemning the incident and pledged to eliminate hatred on campus.
Once the racial cauldron bubbled over, a coed came forward and took responsibility for the incident. She wrote a letter of apology to the school newspaper and said that she never intended to make a racist statement. She had no idea of the historic implications of the noose. She herself was a member of a minority group.
The administration suspended her. Although by all accounts she was guiltier of abject stupidity than a hate crime, the campus administration asked the city and county attorneys as well as the FBI to file hate crime charges.
In May of the same year, David Horowitz spoke on the UCSD campus. During the question and answer period, Jumanah Imad Albahri, a member of the Muslim Student Association, unflinchingly announced her support for killing Jews.
The chancellors office was not stormed. Albahri was not suspended. The campus administration did not seek prosecution for a hate crime. The FBI was not called. The student government did not even announce that it would no longer commit 37,000 dollars to fund the MSAs Jew-bashing Israel Apartheid Week. Ms. Albahri was simply expressing her constitutionally protected opinion.

I don’t think I’d last a day in a place like that. Not that they’d let a right-wing, gun-owning Jew inside anyway....
Muslim stealthy lobbying in the media and funding of liberal academia for years has made Jew bashing normal.
Yet millions refuse to see that the Democrat Party is the recrudescence of Naziism in the United States???

New?
When was it ever NOT the norm?
Recrudescence: Great word. I like Eructation.
Thank you ... I learned a new word today.
Excellent choice of words, BTW, in that it carries the implication that National Socialism is a pathology, and that it has a bloody and evil character. One would not, it seems, speak of the "recrudescence of peace and brotherly love".
All fantasy aside, keep your eyes open because if some reports are correct, May Day might just be unusually "interesting" this year, in a Kristallnacht sort of way.
I don’t remember the attacks being so public in my lifetime. Maybe they were more open about it during my parents’ time. After WWII and the holocaust, the vitriol had to be quieted for awhile, but now the animals are done resting and letting it all hang out.
Don’t forget the majority of Jewish liberals who put Obammy in power. They love political correctness. Even if that means making Jews into demon racists for trying to survive in the Middle East.
Conservatives can’t help. Both parties are now politically correct and besides, the new tribal order is in place. Jews, even on FR, argue that it is better to be pals with the Muslims than with the Christians because of history. Tribalism is blind and stoopid. Don’t blame what is coming on Christians.
Well said Sara. Tribalism, or “we are real people and everyone else is an animal” is the basis for most barbaric savagery today.
To call oneself anything but a HUMAN BEING is racist.
I’m half Scotch and half soda, BTW...
No, orthodox Jews don't. It is our more liberal non-observant brethren who are foolish enough to do that. I suspect that Christians are as much of a target as we are.

I’m a European mutt, myself.
Boy, we sure have come a long way in a short time.
When I was in college Jews were looked up to as important and influential members of the intellectual community. They were very influential inside universities. How times have changed.

We used to hang horse thieves so I can see the pro-horse thief crowd opposed but what does a noose have to do with Jews?

I fully agree. Do you have any explanation why the majority of Jews belong to the Democrat Party?
When the come for the jews this time, who will save them?
The US, I’m afraid, isn’t up to the job as it once was.

Yes, and do you recognize the direction that the influential academia has taken the students? Away from Christianity, straight towards communism.
