I was very sorry to learn that Newt is going to throw in the towel. I know it probably makes some sort of sense at this point, but I still hate to see the campaign end.
Don’t be concerned - these conflicting reports started last week. I saw him last night on TV for a few seconds and he said a few things about mitt’s arrogance but nothing about stepping aside and how he had 21 or 23 stops planned for next week.
Unless I HEAR him SAY it, I don’t believe it. I believe NO ARTICLE.
Mitt’s a pos and only a pos would vote for him. The media is desperate, also, for mitt winning the nom because with Mitt in, Obama gets to make mitt maggot meat for his dogs. His supporters are zombies with not a clear signal to their brain. They gave away the election and remained unteachable.
This is not a Republican Forum, it is a Conservative Forum.

There have been a lot of good, adult conservative conversations here in the last 15 years. Why are you here?
You are here, nps, because you found a conservative forum once upon a time, and it resonated with what you believe. That conservatism was aligned with republicanism made it convenient at election time to vote for something resembling your principles.
However, the Republican party has left its principles in ramming through Romney over the objections of its base. Now that base is disgruntled and some wonder why we don’t do the compromise thing one more time.
Why? Because there is no semblance of conservatism in Romney. He is a liberal. He’s always been a liberal. He’ll be a liberal if he gets in office.
Conservatives don’t vote for liberals. It’s a matter of principle. Adults operate on principle.
You certainly jumped to a lot of opinions about what I believe with out any facts.
In this primary up til now I have equally supported both Gingrich and Santorum. I have sent cash to each, and I would have been happy to have any standard bearer who had a history of being a conservative. They had different strengths and weaknesses (why I also supported Perry), but getting conservative was paramount to me.
Mitt did not qualify. He has zero conservative history, and his bald-faced lie about a passage that clearly was in his own book, EVEN WHEN CONFRONTED WITH THE PASSAGE, reconfirmed in my mind that the mind is simply a liar.
I am now voting for Virgil Goode, a real conservative. I hope you will also support the man.
The only assumption was that you liked FR because it was conservative and aligned with the republican party.
