Dershowitz: Angela Corey has 'Raised expectations to unreasonable levels'...
Fox News - "America Live' with Megyn Kelly | April 25, 2012 | FedsRStealingOurCountryFromUs

Posted on 04/25/2012 11:38:38 AM PDT by FedsRStealingOurCountryFromUs

Alan Dershowitz appeared on Fox News today with Megyn Kelly and discussed the Martin/Zimmerman case. Among his many astute observations and analysis was his accusation that Angela Corey had inappropriately and for 'political' reasons "raised the expectations to unreasonable levels" by over-charging George Zimmerman with 2nd degree Murder. Dershowitz also stated that if the prosecution possessed or knew about the photo of Zimmerman's bloody head and withheld that information from the Affidavit, they themselves may have 'suborned perjury' in this case and should be seeking their own lawyer as a result.

Dershowitz also alleged that the prosecution's Affidavit for their charge does not in any way support their charge against Zimmerman. He said that if there's any doubt that Martin was the only victim in this case, then "you always resolve those doubts in favor of the defendant."

Dershowitz stated that any riots resulting from this case would be due to the prosecution 'raising expectations' by over-charging Zimmerman using an Affidavit insufficient to support those charges.

Alan Dershowitz 'hits it out the park' once again with this objective, clear and concise analysis of this case and the application of the law without prejudice.

The ‘without prejudice’ is a relatively recent phenomenon in Dershowitz’s case.

It was a great interview. He pretty much said she should be in jail.

It’s time to throw out the ann coulter rule and have a Megyn Kelly rule! Megyn posts must include a pic!

So Dershowitz repeated what he has already said.

I must humbly apologize to Alan Dershowitz for 76.4% of the nasty thoughts I have had about him for many, many years. Admittedly the anger was over POLITICAL statements.
However, Mr. Dershowitz has demonstrated as very few have recently, the basic adherence to the LAW, as written and intended. He has shown here what is meant by the famous phrase “A nation of LAWS.”

I wish Dershowitz was Zimmerman’s attorney. This case would be a walk-in-the-park for somebody who got Von Bulow off.

Dershowitz is an appeals lawyer. It looks like he is positioning himself to handle the appeal - assuming one is needed.

The Dersh charges at least a million per case. Zimmerman doesn’t have OJ Simpson’s kind of money.

Neither does O.J.

Yes indeed. He is a very very intelligent man and knows the law. All politics aside, it looks like he is doing the country a good service by analyzing the “evidence” and “legal process” in this case (which must be just one more hassle he didn't need, really). Thank you Alan!

It’s disappointing that Kelly and Dershowitz are STILL trying to portray Zimmerman as the initial aggressor, he wasn’t. Zimmerman was entirely within his rights as a citizen, forget he’s Neighborhood Watch, to follow Martin. He kept his distance, said nothing to Martin, and did not accost him. Martin was the only aggressor and threatened Zimmerman’s life while he was apparently trying to take it. The real travesty and miscarriage of justice here was jailing and charging Zimmerman. Kelly needs to get her facts straight.

One has to seperate Alan’s political views from his astute legal mind and opinion.

He is dead on right about the Zimerman case.

I wonder if any complaints to the Florida Bar have been
submitted against Angela Corey. The Florida Bar has an
obligation to determine if Ms. Corey knew of the head wounds.
