When Iran says "Nuclear weapons are a grave sin it sounds almost as good to pundits as Peace in our time sounded to the useless idiot pundits in 1938 - but this article shows how Iran can keep its word and destroy the West. Read carefully.
Much has been, and will be, said about the Iranian Supreme Leader Khameneis February 2012 informal speech to a group of Iranian nuclear scientists wherein he is translated in English to have said:
There is no doubt that the decision makers in the countries opposing us know well that Iran is not after nuclear weapons because the Islamic Republic, logically, religiously and theoretically, considers the possession of nuclear weapons a grave sin and believes the proliferation of such weapons is senseless, destructive and dangerous, the Leader said.
(4/8/12 PressTV, Iran never seeks to produce, maintain, use nuclear weapons: Lawmaker http://www.presstv.ir/detail/235155.html)
Most importantly, the United States apparently gave great gravitas and optimistic meaning to Khameneis informal talk. ..... Instead of killing people, the new nuclear bomb burns out all the electronic equipment and the modern defense systems that rely on electronics through the nuclear generation of Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP Nuclear Weapon).

If an EMP goes off we’ll be living in a police state, as technology reappears it will be distributed strategically and selectively to maintain the same -forever.
The EMP description is laughable.
It will kill... wiring fires, computer systems running dangerous industrial processes will allow clouds of toxic gas to go out, or pressure builds that will trigger massive explosions. Nuclear plants would melt down as well.
Plus, there is a lot of gamma radiation, and fallout is still present.
All in all, a nuke of any kind is nasty, if it has a fission core.
Maybe one day we’ll have clean nukes... but we will also have fusion power at that point as well.
Finally, I don’t want to be hit by a clean or dirty nuke :)
One Second After;
Oh, there’d be more than enough stuff left to turn that entire area to lumpy glass.
The book exaggerates the impact of an EMP attack.
Anything that we would use to respond to a WMD attack would not be effected by any EMP the Iranians could build and deploy.
I disagree with a couple of things though. The first is it will take some time to figure out what happened. It probably won't. It is a simple thing to keep pinging all network nodes in the gulf, and any disruption can be mapped and the scale derived by the nodes which go down.
Second, we are not sharia compliant. And yes, I believe we will lob nukes at that point, at least at the Iranian port cities to buy time.
Well the muzloid said nothing about it being a sin to used Nukes.
Watch Rumors of War III (Glenn Beck documentary). There are enough members of the Muslim Brotherhood in our government to do plenty of damage without Iran’s help.
I don't think they have a large enough nuke....yet.
EMP doesn’t have to be a nuke. We have non-nuke versions driven with a conventional explosive moving a coil/magnet assembly.
