President Obama's 'celebrity status' reached perplexing new levels last night on comedian Jimmy Fallon's comedy show last night. After watching this sketch, I think it's fair to say that he has 'jumped the shark.'
Last night on the Jimmy Fallon show, Obama "slow jammed" with Jimmy Fallon and his band about his plan to freeze interest rates for student loans, criticizing filibustering Republicans for blocking his plan.
Warning that the interest rates for student loans will 'double,' Obama warned that "some hard working students would be paying about $1000 extra just to get their education."
"There are some in Congress disagree," Obama said, backed up with jazzy music. "They say that keeping the interest rate low isn't a way to help our students, they say that we should be doing everything we can to pay down the national debt, well, so long as it doesn't includes taxing billionaires."
"But their position is that students just have to make that student rate increase work," Obama states. "Frankly, I don't buy it."
"The Barack-ness monster ain't buying it," Fallon croons.

I hate to say this but Baby Kim seems to be more mature and dignified than the celebrity occupier in the WH.
I worked as an intelligence analyst for both Presidents Carter and Reagan and helped guard then Vice President Bush while he campaigned for the presidency in Iowa. I can no more imagine one of those men doing something like this than I can see them wearing tu-tus and dancing Swan Lake or dressing as a clown for Ringling Brothers.

The Kenyan Pirate has probably received some very disturbing news (that will never be shared with us little people) that he has lost the “youth vote” in a big way. Even if he washes out student debt (which only impacts some young people), he can’t obscure the fact from them any longer that not only won’t they have the lifestyle their parents had, they won’t have anything that remotely resembles it.
His minstrel show indicates how bad it is, and how poorly the media can influence the electorate at this point.

Only an observation....but we are approaching the point where a comedian like Junior Samples from Hee Haw...could probably take enough votes and win the presidency.

The purpose of an entertainer is to provide us with entertainment. To amuse us and to temporarily divert us from reality by way of providing us with a "performance" of some type, be it singing, dancing, acting or just generally making us laugh by being goofy.
Back days of old, kings and other monarchs would keep some entertainers on hand in their court for both their own amusement and for that of their subjects. So while something serious was going on that day, like a be-heading or a torture (quite common back then), these entertainers would relieve the tension by capering and prancing around with their silly antics. They called them court jesters.
Why does anyone think he’s embarrassed by this? He surely thinks he’s scored big with this.
