In March of 2011, former Rep. John Leboutiller predicted in a News Max article that, the tea party will select the 2012 GOP nominee.
At the time, it was a safe prediction given the strength of the tea-party movement in the 2010 elections and the influence it was expected to have on the GOP presidential primaries just over a year later. But something went terribly wrong in the meantime. Many politicians heavily supported by the tea-party movement seem to have switched sides, pursuing their own agenda at the expense of the conservative movement and the tea party.
Take Christine ODonnell, for example. ODonnell lost her bid for the U.S. Senate in Delaware but continues to have a following among tea-party activists. Inexplicably, she recently endorsed Romney, stating she is doing so because she thinks infrastructure and executive experience are important. She also claimed, Hes been consistent since he changed his mind.
One wonders if the $5,000 ODonnell received in 2010 from Romneys Free and Strong America PAC had any influence on her decision.
Similarly, the tea-party movement was heavily involved in the election of South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley, but she endorsed Romney last month, claiming in her endorsement remarks, He knows how to create jobs and turn the economy. Haley also received some big bucks from Romney; to be precise, she took $36,000 from Romneys various PACs over the last few years, more than any other gubernatorial candidate.
Then theres Rep. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, a long-time favorite of tea-party activists. Chaffetz is actually a member of the Romney Truth Squad that goes around harassing Newt Gingrich everywhere he speaks. Chaffetz claims Romney is a fiscal conservative and that due to his budget cuts in Massachusetts, tea partiers love him. But Chaffetz also loves Romneys money since he received almost

It doesn’t matter who they endorse...It matters how they vote.
I think it is time for you to get over it and start focusing on the real enemy which is Obama.
Money cannot buy everything, but it sure can—and does—buy politicians.
Only thing lower than a lawyer is one who cannot make it in private practice and goes into politics.
The BOHICA Party strikes again.
Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we had a two party system in America. Oh, and a free press while we’re at it.
I know, I know. Naive, dreamer, radical, jokester. But maybe, just maybe Romney will the instrument of change. If 0bambi steamrolls him and the PUBs lose the House, the resulting carnage will destroy the RINO faction of the BOHICA Party and we Conservatives can get an organization to represent us.
Which one Romney or BHO is:
pro homosexual agenda
pro gun grab
pro big government
pro welfare handouts
pro government mandates
pro man made global warming
Just remember - ABO.
What has become quite clear is that many politicians used the Tea Party movement to advance their own goals without any true allegiance to what the true Tea Party is all about.
In simpler terms, the Tea Party got played like a cheap violin.
Both of them.
She also claimed, Hes been consistent since he changed his mind.
just wow...people voted for this woman.
I am sick of the so-called self-promoting T.E.A. Party leaders and Politicians who lie and deceive just to line their pockets or get some media attention.
The real T.E.A. Party will show itself in Nov., just as it did when we retook the house and almost took the senate.
Only two of those issues will matter in the Election. Government Mandates and Global Warming. Both are costing jobs because they attack our Fossil Fuel Industries. On those issues, Romney will roll back Obama Mandates and increase production of fossil fuels through a comprehensive energy program. The other issues all are social and wont amount to a hill of beans in this election but although it wont effect the outcome, Romney is better than Obama on all of them
the real Tea party gets up and works every day 7 days a week
at least 25 states have active, effective, tea party organizations vettin house and senate candidates,
Tea Party efforts will take Barry down and you can quote me
lastly.....Sheriff Joe has a presser in a few weeks that will release the thunder that is Obama
and Sept 1st......all of you will see the Tea Party present our 2012 leaders
It's amazing how quickly Romney Republicans sweep the protection of life, liberty and the family, the primary reason we even have government, under the rug labeled "social."
It doesn't even mean anything.
Romney is better than Obama on all of them
