Aloha Night Owl! ((HUGS))
Cold and wet yesterday, warm and sunny today and on both days we've had two cruise ships in harbor. Actually we've had at least one for the past ten days. Either the cruise lines are offering a helluva deal or folks are thinking this might be their last chance.
Went out with my son the other day to toss a football around at Moku Ola with my son and his new squeeze. Noticed that a couple of plovers decided that our weather was as nice right now as Kons's.

"Pandro Berman, the producer, told Gershwin he didn't need to bother with the musical numbers that linked the scenes. They would be handed to a lesser composer."
Good for George Gershwin - I like a guy who's willing to handle what some may regard as the more mundane aspects of a work. If one doesn't take care of the "minor details", who can trust the integrity of the opus?

How here is Frank Capra's comic touch with Clark Gable in one of his rare comic roles, with Claudette Colbert.
The Guide to Hitchhiking from "It Happened One Night"
This was the movie that made Gable a star. Louie Mayer had loaned Gable to Harry Cohn at Columbia as punishment, and the movie put Gable in the position of demanding whatever he wanted from Mayer when he got back to MGM.

Must have been fun tossing the ball around with you son...shades of days gone by.
We continue in the mid 50s in the daytime, but are still freezing at night, altho not by much. Lonesome plover? Girl friend?

Sounds like your road repair gangs are going to be busy especially if it rains because of the warm days and freezing nights.
Don't know if it was Lonesome.....he would have hung around to chat. But this harbor has had so few Plovers and Sand Pipers this winter, they may be coming back again to fatten up on crab meat and pipi'i before the dash north.

I’m hoping that the next week gets us out of the freezing mode all together. It’s still early, but I can hope.
Now that winter is over, construction season begins...dust EVERYWHERE! There is a MAJOR widening, etc, going down the street from where I work. It’s going from one lane each way to 2 lanes each way and a middle turning lane. It’s to become a main road to get from west to east and back again. There are still too few of those. We will see.

I've been to the mainland and have seen road work during the warmer months and they usually finish up in the season they begin. In Hawaii, all months are warm but I won't go into the construction and repair projects over here. It would take too loooooooooooong. And then some.

How many kids? What instruments?
A wonderful Friday to you and Linda.

We have 2 seasons: winter and construction. Having construction going on all year would drive me insane.
Up until last year there were very few alternative routes, east-west or north-south. One each direction was a huge help for me and my commute.
