Police: OKC Woman Threatens To Blow Up OG&E Due To $14 Electricity Bill

OKLAHOMA CITY -

An Oklahoma City woman is facing a felony charge after being accused of threatening to blow up OG&E.

It all started with a look at the electric bill. Apparently, it was a bit too high for the customer. So, she picked up the phone, called OG&E and admits things got ugly.

"I remember flipping out, but I don't really remember what was said," OG&E customer Deidra Reed said.

Reed was enjoying her Tuesday afternoon until she learned she was charged with the felony of making a bomb threat. Earlier in April, police say Reed called OG&E and said, "I am going to blow OG&E up cause ya'll are charging me for electric I haven't used."

Investigators say the call was never recorded, but the employee on the other end of the line will testify against Reed in court.

"The detective actually told me he heard [the call to OG&E], so I can't really argue with it if it's me," Reed said.

Police say Reed has a history with threats. In 2011, she was accused of making yet another bomb threat. However, she wasn't charged.

Reed said. "I'm struggling to pay $40 a month for rent. How the hell am I to buy some bomb equipment. I don't even know how to make a bomb."

At least she didn’t call 911 to complain about her bill; you’ve got to give her that.

That's just her portion of the rent. You, me and all other taxpayers are paying to balance. From the looks of the lawn and house, I would say it is a $600 a month unit. That would be 3bd, 1 1/2 bath, central heat and air.

On top of that she also would receive about $100 a month for utilities, plus food stamps. Ain't life great when you live on the plantation?

I am a property manager, I pretty well know what she gets. She's going nuts over a $14 electric bill?

According to her shirt, she must really love us. I hate able bodied free loaders.

The problem with most renewables involves inconsistent generation and/or insufficient storage. If they could only capture that wasted female scorn...

There are a lot of run down houses in OKC in bad neighborhoods, Think of an upscale Detroit.

War on Women!(who can’t scrape $56 together to pay a miniscule portion of their subsidized expenses.)

Obviously, I don’t care quite enough, or else I would send MORE tax dollars to this suffering maid.

$40/mo rent? Section 8 housing. Can’t handle a $14 electric bill? Subsidized by taxpayers. I’ll bet her cell phone is “free”, too. Imagine how much McDonald’s stock would go up if they could officially take EBT. Obama money takin’ care of her. I’ll bet there’s a big screen TV up on the wall in that house.

Reed was enjoying her Tuesday afternoon...

Translation: She was loafing around her $40/month subsidized house, watching her subsidized TV, eating her subsidized food, with plenty of time on her hands because she's still waiting for her subsidized job.

Since the real rent is certainly much higher, it means the taxpayers are paying the rest.
