White House press secretary Jay Carney offered some rare insight into his job Friday, telling reporters he never lies in response to their questions, even when he knows more than he can say.
“When I go stand up at the podium in front of the White House press corps, I never lie. I never say something that I know is untrue,” Carney said at a scholarship lunch hosted by the White House Correspondents’ Association ahead of this weekend’s festivities. “Credibility is enormously important to a press secretary.”

There is such a thing as a lie of omission. There is such a thing as selectively choosing some true statements and deliberately omitting others to create a dishonest narrative. Carney has been very dishonest in his role in the Obama Administration. He often refuses to answer questions, gives partial or unresponsive answers and plays word games to avoid giving accurate information.
He probably also tells outright lies. I just can't remember one at this time.

Repeapting a lie is the same as telling one. Presuming you know it to be a lie. This precludes the fact that Carney really knows anything...

What if he thinks everything he says is the truth to him? People who say things and believe what they say. Is not half of our country this way today. There are some out there that actually think Barry is doing great?
