Personally, I think Delmon let his team down. There is no way he should be out at 3am, drunk, the night before a game. And, he conducted himself in such a manner that got him arrested and unavailable for tonight's game. Considering his record of assaulting umpires in the minor leagues, the term "head case" comes to mind. The Tigers do not tolerate head cases. Poor fielding outfielders that are hitting .242 are a dime a dozen. I wouldn't be surprised to see him gone.
If they keep him, he is going to have to do a lot of explaining to the Jewish portion of the fan base, and the rest of us.

Sometimes I wonder if the way to fight all this nuttiness is to call everything a hate crime and for everyone to sign up for every public bennie for which they qualify - bring the system to its extreme gridlock conclusion.

IMHO when he was drunk his pure inner emotions were let free. I believe he was just being his real self with no restaints.
Yeah, it should be drunk and disorderly, but the "hate-crime element" is unconstitutional. One of these days, someone will challenge thought crimes as a crime on constitutional grounds.
