FReeper Canteen ~ Sunday Chapel ~ WINNERS vs LOSERS ~ 29 April 2012
Serving The Best Troops and Veterans In The World !! | The Canteen Crew

WINNERS vs LOSERS

When a winner makes a mistake, he says, “I was wrong.”
When a loser makes a mistake, he says, “It wasn’t my fault.”

A winner always gives 110% no matter how big or small the task.
A loser is always “too busy” to do what is necessary and finds excuses.

A winner goes through a problem.
A loser goes around it, and never gets past it.

A winner makes commitments.
A loser makes promises.

A winner says, “I’m good, but not as good as I ought to be.” A loser says, “I’m not as bad as a lot of other people.”

A winner respects those who are superior to him and tries to learn something from them.
A loser resents those who are superior to him and spends time finding fault.

A winner feels responsible for more than his job.
A loser says, “I only work here.”

A winner says, “There ought to be a better way of doing it.”
A loser says, “That’s the way it’s always been done here."

"And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring; Men's hearts failing them for fear, and for looking after those things which are coming on the earth: for the powers of heaven shall be shaken." -from THE BIBLE: Luke 21:25-26

Aloha Doc!

Sunday is a good day to plant peppers and tomatoes and saying a small prayer that you have no inclement weather, which can be a pain in the neck too.

I arrived in the P.I on Easter 1969 but it wasn't Easter there. I'd crossed the date line so it was April 7th. Off to TADs and TDYs a short time after. (I didn't remember the date, just that it was Easter but I always remember the date I left SE Asia; 8/7/71 and the day I was separated, Friday the Thirteenth.) Life is a good challenge, cherish it.

PRAYERS GOING UP FOR OUR AMERICAN HEROES AND FOR OUR BELOVED NATION!

GEN. GEORGE WASHINGTON AND THE MARQUIS DE LAFAYETTE AT VALLEY FORGE

In the coldest and darkest days of the American Revolution, General George Washington raised his prayers for the survival of his beleaguered Army and of the new Nation. The Lord answered those prayers, upheld his Army through a punishing nadir to everlasting glory and bestowed His manifold benefits upon the new Nation.

In like manner, let our prayers now rise for our heroes in the American military who seek to secure the benefits of Freedom on behalf of a people hungry for them. Father, look on our prayers for them with favor, guide their steps in righteousness and keep them in the shelter of Your Healing Wings. Bless and uphold them in the performance of their Mission. Through Jesus Christ, Your Son, Amen.

SHADOWS AT ARLINGTON

Heavenly Father, Lord of the Nations, unto Your Divine Mercy we commend the souls of these who have fallen in the service of our Beloved Nation and in defense of the freedoms we hold dear. We pray that You gather them in Your loving embrace, that You cause Your countenance to shine upon them and that You vouchsafe their souls to dwell eternally in Your Divine Presence. Through Your Son, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever, Amen.

Nos genuflectitur ad non princeps sed Princeps Pacem!

Listen, O isles, unto me; and hearken, ye people, from far; The LORD hath called me from the womb; from the bowels of my mother hath he made mention of my name. (Isaiah 49:1 KJV)
