I googled this issue and could not find out much. How do you know he is pro-abortion?

I really hate the political version of American Idol.

Someone does something right and everyone starts screaming for them to be president without a further look.

This has been kicked around before. IN this thread there are links to interviews where he describes himself as a northeastern/Rockefeller Republican.

I have found that generals in politics tend to be pragmatists, and big government types. That mindset is fine for the military where you are assigned a specific, limited objective (when it is done right), not so good for civilian government.

Doesn’t excite me. Not a bad guy; decent combat leader. Still....need a red-meat Conservative; really not sure he fits that bill.

I do not know exactly. In 2008, he was mentioned often as McCain’s potential running mate, but he said he had no interest. Now that he has left the Army and is running the CIA, he may have changed his mind.

He’s too moderate on too many issues. IMHO, Mitt will end up picking a RINO as his VP, and it could end up being Petraeus, or Chris Christie. Governor Suzanne Martinez would be a much better VP pick, overall, and ditto, Condi Rice.

As my grandfather said of Eisenhower, Great general, mediocre president.

I don’t like unknowns one heartbeat from the presidency. I’d support him for Joint Chief of Staff or for Sec of Defense.

Aren't all those people you named pro-abortion activists?

What more can you think of doing that will guarantee that Romney can not win any Conservative votes?

On paper, he sounds great. My only issue is that a number of years ago, there was another General that everyone was excited to be the GOP VP or Pres. Upon closer examination, he ended up being a very Liberal person who voted for Obama because he was black.

We will need to vet Petraeus thoroughly to make sure this doesn't happen again.

Just a thought, how about a guy who knows where all the problems are. I don't know what party David Walker belongs to, but I would find a at least a cabinet place for him.

David Walker

He isn’t a political conservative as far as I know.

Still, I believe war is coming like it or not. Even if Ron Paul is president, war is coming. It would probably be good to have someone in the administration who understood the military. So, while he isn’t my first choice, he would be a good man to have. Secretary of Defense or CIA Director might be better.

He’s a globalist. IOW, would fit in perfectly, either with Romney or Obama.

Condi Rice?

Being forced to vote for one RINO is bad enough, no less two of them!

Duncan Hunter (the senior) is who we need.
