Isn’t it funny what you can find out on Friday evening about what our executive branch does?
For instance, Agence France-Presse reported last night that Barack Obama bypassed Congress to send $192 million to the Palestinian Authority, claiming that national security required the US to put money into Mahmoud Abbas’ pocket:
President Barack Obama has signed a waiver to remove curbs on funding to the Palestinian Authority, declaring the aid to be “important to the security interests of the United States.” A $192 million aid package was frozen by the US Congress after the Palestinians moved to gain statehood at the United Nations last September.Congress deliberately froze those funds, and not just because of the statehood demand through UNESCO. Hamas, a terrorist organization, reconciled with Fatah and has rejoined the PA, which means we’re putting almost $200 million into the hands of a terrorist organization.But in a memo sent to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, published by the White House, the president said it was appropriate to release funds to the authority, which administers the West Bank and Gaza Strip.
In signing the waiver, Obama instructed Clinton to inform Congress of the move, on the grounds that “waiving such prohibition is important to the national security interests of the United States.”
The language of the Palestinian Accountability Act could not be clearer: “[N]o funds available to any United States Government department or agency … may be obligated or expended with respect to providing funds to the Palestinian Authority.” Obama literally waived that statutory language off yesterday afternoon.

There, we learn that, having dug our nation into a $16 trillion debt hole, President Obama has nevertheless decided to borrow more money from unfriendly powers like China so he can give it to an outfit that views the United States as an enemy to be destroyed.

Some possibilities:
1). Amnesty for undocumented immigrants through the pardon power. The only question is will this happen before or after the election?
2). Reparations. Likely will happen in the second term. Once he announces will Congress dare not fund at the risk of riots in every major city?
3). Unilateral nuclear disarmament. He one day orders the military to destroy all nuclear weapons. Short of impeachment, what will stop him?
4). Presidential order forgiving all government student loans. Likely to happen weeks before the election to energize the youth vote as well as the votes of parents. What’s to stop hiim?
5). Bailouts of bankrupt liberal states — California, Illinois, Michigan, Massachussets. Use left over TARP funds to start the process with one state. Once the precedent is set will Congress deny bailouts to other states?
6). Nationalization of the oil and pharmaceutical industries. He can likely do pharmaceuticals through Obamacare if it is upheld. Once successfully accomplished with pharma he goes after oil through decree.
7). Government mandated unionization of private sector companies with DOL and NLRB coordinating with unions to organize target firms.
8). Regulation of talk radio and Internet speech during second term.
9). EPA shutdown of all coal fired electrical plants.
10). Mandate national service. Combine Americorps, Job Corps, and other service organizations to form a national service organization he controls. It may be done under the guise of job creation. This monster bureaucracy will be a giant community organizing agency and political police force.
11). Declaring a national emergency and suspending the writ of habeus corpus. Order Congress to recess. Call a new constitutional convention to write a modern governing document.
This is a great election year issue. We need to use it.
Remember all those campaign contributions from Gaza?
...Another question involves the unprecedented contributions made to Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign.
The amount is somewhere between $650 to $750 million, depending on the source, and a lot of that money reportedly originated from outside of this country. Is this what the founders intended? What strings came with such contributions?
