John 3:16
Everlasting Life

You better ponder on these passages:

"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity."
~ Jesus
, in Matthew 7:22 & 23

"I will hide My Face from them."
~ Deuteronomy 32:20

"Why hidest Thou Thy Face from me?"
~ David in Psalm 88:14

"But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid His Face from you, that He will not hear."
~ Isaiah 59:2

Look, I'm no biblical expert by any means, but if you can not detect the differences between the Old/New testaments, Law and Grace, I suggest you start studying! Hint: JESUS!

For the Matthew passage:

Jesus is referring to UNBELIEVERS. People who have not accepted Jesus as God. Notice the last line: "I NEVER KNEW YOU." This denotes these "prophesiers," let me think of an example - (Joseph Smith, possibly)are not believers. Heck, even Satan will appear as an angel of light.

It's interesting you bring up Isaiah 59:2 because that's exactly why Jesus came. So we could inherit EVERLASTING life, and not be separated from the Father, God.

Remember Jesus, paid for ALL the sins of believers, actually the sins of the world. Jesus is the bridge over the chasm of sin, over the great "DIVIDE" which brings believers to God.

How can someone or something EVER snatch you out of God's hands? John 10:28
