MITT ROMNEY: "But my view is that those 12 million who have come here illegally should be given the opportunity to sign up to stay here..."
So much for another lie by Romney that he is the toughest on Illegals

Illegal immigration will be the final nail in America’s coffin!
Watch the interview with Tim Russett. Romney does not say that he supports giving amnesty to 12 million illegals. He says that the idea of allowing some people to register with the government, live, work and pay taxes in the U.S. for 5 years before being allowed to become citizens is a reasonable one.
That is a far cry from what you are suggesting.
My argument with such a plan would be that America's first priority must be to secure the borders, then identify and deport illegals guilty of felonies here or in their own countries, and only then consider who might be allowed to stay on condition of working toward citizenship rights.
I would very much like to hear Romney's response to that suggestion and then make a judgment on whether his current views on immigration are acceptable, especially given how much worse - and dangerous - the problem has become over the course of the past 7 years.
So does Obama! At least with Romney we have a chance of moving to the right if we wants a 2nd term.
He spends millions on attacking - Patriot ‘We The People’, Pro Constitution candidates - should be a clue he disagrees with what they stand for.
Pity Americans who rejoiced and took part in that action - they are left with a hater of all that is good.
Romney won’t get a first term.
Sept 6, 2011 is when the video was uploaded to Youtube
2005 in an interview with the Boston Globe . He talked about illegal immigration. He did not support illegal immigration then or now.
I think the old standby definitions of who votes for which party have been blown away in this campaign. I think people recognize that Im not a partisan Republicanthat Im someone who is moderate, and that my views are progressive.
-Mitt Romney (2002)
Video of the quote:
Obama continued: I am somebody who is no doubt progressive. I believe in a tax code that we need to make more fair. I believe in universal health care. I believe in making college affordable. I believe in paying our teachers more money. I believe in early childhood education. I believe in a whole lot of things that make me progressive.
“He says that the idea of allowing some people to register with the government, live, work and pay taxes in the U.S. for 5 years before being allowed to become citizens is a reasonable one.”
It isn’t reasonable. It’s the opposite of reasonable. It’s insane.
I would love to hear how “registration,” or for you poetic types, “bringing them out of shadows,” solves anything.
The problem isn’t their status. The problem has never been their status.
The problem is their PRESENCE.
Their PRESENCE is what has overwhelmed California’s welfare system and bankrupted the state.
Their PRESENCE has turned California’s public school system into a daycare center for Mexico’s poorest, non-English-speaking children, to the terrible detriment of two generations of Americans.
Their PRESENCE — their overwhelming numbers have closed swamped emergency rooms all over the country. (And can we please stop lying about the actual numbers? There’s pretty good evidence that 11 million illegals live in California alone.)
Their PRESENCE has driven down wages and driven Americans out of innumerable trades and occupations.
So someone please explain to me — how does “registration” and allowing lawbreakers slow-motion citizenship make anything better? Except for illegal immigrants and weak politicians who won’t do do their first and most important Constitutional duty to protect this nation from foreign invasion?.
The Southern border has been abrogated and abandoned by the Federal government. How can anyone talk about anything else?
Romney is the lesser of two evils don’t you know.(sarc)
That is the truth and mitt romney and the gop/e will be to blame for it.
And now. Mitty says the kids can’t get jobs when they get out of college so lets give them loans for college.
Romney is a liberal turd burgler.
That sword cuts both ways. You never tire of futile posts.
We should just call him the “Me too” candidate. Let obama come out for something and mitt rushes to agree.
