Eyeless Shrimp and Mutant Fish Raise Concerns Over BP Spill Effects

(NewsCore) - Eyeless shrimp, fish with oozing sores and other mutant creatures found in the Gulf of Mexico are raising concerns over lingering effects of the BP oil spill.

On April 20, 2010, an explosion aboard the BP-leased Deepwater Horizon rig killed 11 people and spewed an estimated 4.9 million barrels into the Gulf, in the worst offshore oil spill in US history.

Two years later, scientists and commercial fishers alike are finding shrimp, crab and fish that they believe have been deformed by the chemicals unleashed in the spill, according to an extensive report by Al Jazeera English.

That's OK. I don't eat shrimp eyes. Catch fish all the time that have sores, even before BP spill. Cut out the sore spot, and still have meat. Only other mutant creature I'd seen was Obama walking on the beach.

What “other sources” did you find?

This article mentions nothing about mutant shrimp. Seems like they might have even had a decent shrimping year.

ROTFLMAO!!!

I was ready to for a bit of wasted time.

When I lived on the East Coast, I happened to be in Philadelphia and listening on the radio.

The News Talker was commenting on some blind guy, whooooo had a black belt in Tae Kwon do.

So this guy is minding his own business when a mugger decides to prey on him “cuz he looks easy?”

Nope/Bad Move/Worst Decision Evuh.....

The Blind, Black Belt, Beats the Brazen Bozo like the redheaded step child he always hated and puts him in the hospital for a week.

Broken this, Broken that. The list is too extensive.

So the Newstalker after describing this simply says “Hmp”.

Dead silence and just as I’m reaching to change the channel all of the sudden I hear:
“Blindy Man, Blindy Man Does Whatever a Blind Man Can. Can he Kick, See him Flip....Look Out....Oops, didn’t see that one coming stoopid robber man”

I was dying laughing. So I knew the owner of the station and his son Kyle. Drove over and had to see who it was and when I got there, maybe 10 minutes later, they were still laughing.

Too funny.

My neighbor owns a restaurant in Uptown New Orleans. He gets seafood, including shrimp, from the Gulf. Nothing is wrong with the seafood from the Gulf.

This article is scare-mongering and full of lies.

I didn't "find" any "other sources." They were all presented right here on FR.
