Were about a week out from the Indiana Primary. Richard Mourdock now leads Barack Obamas favorite Republican, Dick Lugar. But it is close. Surprisingly for so many conservative activists who backed Eric Cantor for his leadership position, the House Republican Leader has decided to engage in this and other races for the more moderate and liberal candidates.
Whodathunk Eric Cantor would become like Mitch McConnell, but he is. And not only that, Eric Cantor has decided to engage in the Indiana Senate race a Senate race, not a House race. So the cool thing is if you open your checkbook and help Richard Mourdock, you arent just dealing a blow to Mitch McConnell, but to Eric Cantor and Barack Obama too. All three of them want Dick Lugar to stick around Washington.
Seriously, Eric Cantors PAC is asking Democrats to go vote to save Dick Lugar. The House Republican Leader wants Democrats to save Dick Lugar. Thats messed up.
Do what you can to make sure Indiana sends Dick Lugar home. Oh wait . . . Dick doesnt live in Indiana anymore. Thats why his Board of Elections says he cant vote in Indiana. Still, get him out of the Senate.
But thats not all.
In Texas, Ted Cruz is going up in the polls, but David DewCrist is a millionaire. Ted Cruz needs volunteers, prayers, and money. If he can get into a runoff with DewCrist, he should be able to close the gap and be Texass next Senator.
In Nebraska, Don Stenberg is closing in on Jon Bruning. Bruning, by the way, still wont walk away from his love of Eric Holder. We need to help Don. Hes going up in the polls and is now coming under whitening assault from Bruning and Brunings friends in Washington.
And then there is Utah. After 36 years in the Senate, Orrin Hatch just might be retired by the voters. He did not make it out of the Utah Republican Convention with enough votes. Hell face my friend Dan Liljenquist. Dans a good guy. Thirty-six years in the Senate should be long enough. Senator Hatch has been a commendable Senator on judges and other issues. But hes also been on the wrong side of many votes and Dan Liljenquist would be one more headache for Mitch McConnell that Senator Hatch is not.
The Senate is a fraternity.
They are all pals.
They put on a front of opposition during the Senate meetings and then go drink with each other. It’s all BS.
The Senate would much rather spend its time fighting with We the People...than with liberal-conservative ideals
Just what I was looking for: a list of places where I can bloody the establishment’s nose in the Senate.
This election should be Cantor’s last. He needs a primary next term to remind him of his betrayals.
Mitch McConnell isn’t the worst leader we’ve ever had. He’s certainly better than Trent Lott was. But otherwise this article is dead on.
We need to support the following TEA Party candidates in their primaries:
Richard Mourdock (IN)
Don Stenberg (NE)
Ted Cruz (TX)
Dan Liljenquist (UT)
Mike McCalister (FL)
Also, in the U.S. House:
Jack Hoogendyk (MI)
And Jamie Radtke (VA)
“This election should be Cantors last. He needs a primary next term to remind him of his betrayals.”
Exactly. It would do no good to dump Boehner if Cantor is waiting in the wings.
We need to start over with completely new leadership teams in both houses.
It doesn’t surprise me at all that Eric Cantor would support a RINO, Eric has been a RINO for all those who were paying attention, all along.
Why shouldn’t he?
Latest Rasmussen, not so good for Mack the lesser, Nelson up 11. Unlike Flake and Berg I’m worried about this. Obviously it’s not smart to nominate him if he’s gonna lose anyway.
I pray someone else gets in before it’s too late, I don’t think McC has the juice to beat Mack in the primary.
Cantor is backing Lugar? What a maroon.
I’m irked at Cantor for meddling in Senate races like this. I’ve been plugging him as a VP running mate and having second thoughts now.
He could be down by 30 points and a bunch of GOP establishment shills here would tell us he's the "most electable" candidate anyway. Could be worse, the Delaware and Illinois GOP convinced people that laughable and unqualified jokes like Jan Ting and Steve Sauerberg were the only "credible" GOP candidates. God forbid we run an unapologetic conservative instead of the hack the state party wants.
Most freepers think Cantor is scum nowadays.
I think that opinion is the typical hyperbolic hate that all the congressional leaders get (look at the title of this thread) but he is not impressing me at all.
