And they cried out again, Crucify him. Then Pilate said unto them, Why, what evil hath he done? And they cried out the more exceedingly, Crucify him.
Mark 15:13-14 (KJV)
In a less-than-shocking piece of news this week, we have learned that the EPA is in fact the New Praetorian Guard. You thought their job was protecting the trees and the butterflies? Unfortunately not. A high-level manager has given the game away. Their job is crucifixion of the capitalists.
Prior to falling on his sword today to protect "the cause", ordinary EPA manager Al Armendariz related the following:
"I was in a meeting once, and I gave an analogy to my staff about my philosophy of enforcement, and I think it was probably a little crude and maybe not appropriate for the meeting, but I'll go ahead and tell you what I said. It was kind of like how the Romans used to conquer little villages in the Mediterranean. They'd go into a little Turkish town somewhere, they'd find the first five guys they saw, and they would crucify them. And then, you know, that town was really easy to manage for the next few years. So, that's our general philosophy."
Note, it's not "his" general philosophy. It's "our" general philosophy.
What's really fascinating about this is how liberals in fact do understand human nature, despite their claims to the contrary.
They pretend to not understand how the death penalty is a deterrent. But when it comes to attacking their free market capitalist enemies, they understand just fine.
There are several hundred evil criminals on death row who could use this this enlightened liberal approach right now.
The EPA is the worst agency in Washington, bar none. If the next Republican president does not disband it the first week in office, twenty million of us will be moving to a new party the following week.
