Walker's headquarters in double secret location (WI)

Everybody in the state knows where the governor works.

Gov. Scott Walker's office is in the east wing of the Capitol.

Many people know where the governor resides.

Walker has the Executive Residence when he's in Madison. Otherwise, his family lives on Wauwatosa's east side.

But here's something almost no one knows:

Where his main campaign headquarters is.

His staff is trying to keep that a secret.

It's a page taken from the playbook of the 14 Senate Democrats who wouldn't let anyone know where they were hiding out in Illinois last year so they could duck protests.

"Each of us is in a secure location," state Sen. Chris Larson (D-Milwaukee) told The Washington Post last year.

So where in the world is the governor's campaign HQ?

One veteran Republican handler explained the thinking behind the Walker team's unusual attempts to remain invisible in this already bizarre recall election.

"I don't know that I recall a campaign not publicizing their campaign offices," said GOP campaign strategist Mark Graul. "But based on some of the ridiculousness of the absurd protesters, it makes sense not to let those people know where they're at so they don't go over there and dump beer on their heads or any of the other stupid things those idiots do."

But it's not like this is the only thing Walker's team wants to keep top secret.

His state office does not post his schedule ahead of time, releasing a monthly calendar only to those who ask. And the campaign doesn't announce fundraisers and won't provide a list of previous out-of-state events.

The other gubernatorial candidates let the public know where to find their main campaign offices.

Dan Bice is a tool of the Democrat Party. His name REALLY ought to be Dan Bias!

If I were threatened with bodily harm daily, as well as my family, and followed from place to place with horns and drums, I'd keep my schedule secret too. It is unconscionable what the unions and the teachers have been pulling in Wisconsin over the past year. One of our State Senators (a lovely lady) told me yesterday that she had to be accompanied to work by 5 armed bodyguards last year in Madison and wear a disguise too. Otherwise, she couldn't get into the Capital to do her job.

Governor Walker has had the thugs show up at his speeches and yell obscenities at the Special Olympics kids, etc., etc. Last week, people from Illinois demonstrated outside one of his speeches and screamed, "Cut off his head!" and "Knuckle up!" The police will do nothing about it, as far as bringing charges. Scott Walker is the soul of courage.

So please help me understand what happens IF Walker is recalled. Isn’t the Lt. Governor in charge, or do the dems get a two-fer Governor and Lt Gov.? And WHEN would the change occur? If I was Walker if I got recalled I’d fire every last POS union thug within reach before they “got me”.

Technically, he has already been recalled. The petitions have been accepted by the GAB and he will stand for election first in a Primary (against a fake Republican) on May 8 and then in an official recall election June 5 against the winner of the May 8 Dem Primary. As far as I know, replacement is immediate.

The Lt. Governor does not automatically take over because she has been recalled also. She does not have a Primary on the Republican side, although there is a Dem Primary on May 8 to choose a candidate to run against her June 5.

Obviously, our recall law in WI needs re-working. It was written many years ago when nobody ever thought it would be used in this way. Recall was always thought as a safety valve in the case of malfeasance in office — not because the minority party did not like the election results. These elections (6 Primaries and 6 regular elections) will cost millions $$$ to run — all because the teachers’ union is in a snit.

I don’t blame them one bit for trying to keep it secret. I hope Gov. Walker gets through this recall okay.

Fake Republican in Primary
Thanks for pointing out this issue. Very few Walker supporters seem to be aware that Walker actually has to win the primary to be in the June recall election. Most seem to think that they don’t vote until June. The Wis. State Journal opinion page had a letter this morning suggesting that Dems should vote for Walker’s primary opposition so that Walker would be out before the actual recall election even happens. More fun and games with the progressives.

I spent about 15 minutes at lunch today explaining to some folks that they have to vote twice — once on May 8 and again on June 5. And these folks really do keep up on this stuff. The husband had it in his head that he had to vote tomorrow — May 1.

But they run a restaurant (long hours) and the wife has been battling cancer, as well as home schooling the kids. I’ll remind them again next week, for sure. It’s very confusing.

Help Governor Walker!

MAY 5TH PRIMARY ELECTION

There is a lot of confusion about the upcoming recall primary (May 8th) and recall general election (June 5th). The May 8th RECALL primary on May 8th is being governed by different rules than other primaries.

For the Governor’s race...... Kohl-Riggs is a liberal representing himself as a “Progressive” Republican. Since he is running as a FAKE Republican, it’s IMPERATIVE that voter turnout is sufficient to keep Governor Walker on the ballot for the June 5th election! So GET OUT AND VOTE on May 8th! Remember to mark ONLY ONE for the Governor, not one Republican and one Democrat!!!!! That would cancel/make void your vote. It will also void your vote if you write in Scott Walker as a write-in Democrat candidate. So please DO NOT write in anyone and ONLY VOTE for Scott Walker as Governor.

For the Lt Govenor’s race..... Isaac Weix is a protest candidate. He is a Republican running on the Dem ticket. We encourage EVERYONE to VOTE FOR WEIX. If Weix wins against the other REAL democratic candidates, Rebecca Kleefisch will keep her seat. Also, Rebecca is NOT on the May 8th primary ballot, but she will automatically be on the June 5th election ballot. Please vote for her on June 5th!!!

If you have a Senate Race, note who the protest candidates are (i.e. in Scott Fitzgeralds district it is Gary Ellerman). Again, these are Republicans on the Democrat’s ticket. See below for more information on the Senate district Republican protest candidates.

Governor — Scott Walker

Lt. Governor— Isaac Weix

Senate District 13— Gary Ellerman

Senate District 21— Tamra Varebrook

Senate District 23— James Engel

Senate District 29—James Buckley
