I’m not much more informed than you - the PLC is 100% Marine. I think there is some cross platform in the aviation piece. I did read in your link that NROTC is a track to Marine officer.
I do know the Navy is a reliable transport resource for the warriors at the tip of the spear.
I only MINIMALLY watched Officer and a Gentleman-—they hose up the facts so much it was not worth my time...BUT that movie was about Naval Officer Candidate School...in those days it was in Newport Rhode Island...also known as “knife and fork school”...the Officer program for the Marines includes some “fun” each May/June at Quantico called “Operation Bulldog”...
Im sitting here giggling to myself (I do that alot, to keep my sanity ;-) ANYWAY...with the marines being “tip of the spear” I am reminded that I am behind the “Tip of the Needle” and have custody of the shot records.... and NO Marine goes ANYWHERE without their shot card :-) (and you wonder why they adore their nurses LOL ;-)

Speaking of the medical - they’re jacking him around a little. His records need to go to the PLC group, but he also wants to train with his Reserve unit, also at Quantico after PLC and needs his records for that as well.
He’s doing the typical hurry up and wait in getting that ironed out.

Please tell your son...at his FIRST opportunity, he needs to make his own PERSONAL COPY of ALL of his medical records, and keep it current.....That way he can avoid some of the beaurocratic horsechit...ALSO...tell him to make Nice Nice with the navy Chief that is in charge of medical wherever he is assigned...they can make his life MUCH easier!
