Thanks - that makes sense.

It's just a good word spoiled -- at the time a couple of ordinary Wisconsonites (who probably never heard of Marx) thought it was a good idea.

Oh, the hell they didn't!! Barky and his Politburo knew exactly what they were doing.

And the Obama campaign unveiled the new slogan “Forward!” on the day before May day.

Exactly. No, they did it intentionally, and it is exactly the Communist symbolism they want.

They went as far as they could, without actually breaking out a red hammer-and-sickle flag.

Bill Ayers wears a huge red star on his chest very frequently, even customarily.

The next thing you know, Barky and the gang will be getting up on top of the Lincoln Memorial and having a May Day march-past, complete with tanks and missiles.
