A perfect slogan for Comrade Obama!
Russian cannon-fodder won World War II in Europe (they could have continued to France but we were in the way), but the Chicoms were not a factor in defeating Japan. The decisive factor was American industry and the US military, primarily the Navy for defeating the Japanese Navy and Air Force and starving the home islands of oil, and the Army Air Force for reducing the major cities of Japan to rubble. And the Army ground pounders and the Marines for establishing the air bases. The situation on the ground in Asia was not significant, despite British victories in Burma and the Nationalist & Communist Chinese back and forth.

Apparently the previous slogan, “Let us boldly fulfill our Five Year Plan,” was rejected for also being “associated with Socialism.”
The guy can’t catch a break. It seems like every phrase is somehow associated with socialism!
If a bunch of German socialists got their hindquarters deported after 1848, and came straight to Wisconsin, and kept on with their agitation without a break, maybe by 1851 they had enough influence to get the motto adopted . . . ?
