People old enough to remember 1980....probably will grin and admit things today do have a Jimmy Carter-like spin to them. It was in the middle of the second year in the White House for Carter....that you could tell that things weren’t working right. His success rate with just about everything was marginal. His speeches just weren’t carrying like they were in the campaign. And the public lacked enthusiasm over the future. It feels the same way today.
Heard a Jimmy Carter speech from his 2nd term campaign and could hear the desperation in his voice. I am getting the same feeling as 1980, problem is that I can’t tell if the Dimwits who voted for POTUS feel it as well, or will admit and correct their vote.
