Jen Rubin suggests(also, says he was forced out by anti-gay conservatives) that he quit in frustration, because Romney was too afraid of social conservative disapproval to let him speak for the campaign right now even though the OBL anniversary has pushed foreign policy front and center in the campaign. True?

I think Mitt got set up.
Why would anybody sane (maybe that lets mittens out) choose a spokesman who he's "afraid" of letting speak?
It’s a good-news thing. One less queer to deal with.
If he wasn’t under wraps was he getting a pedicure, a facial or tanning?
Better a queer than a muslim..
Also, in the respect that enough force was generated to make him resign. Someone has said that Romney will have to be “nudged” to the right. Maybe so, with a large battering ram and his resisting all the way. Let the “nudging” begin, we know what the alternative is.
Romney was too afraid of social conservative disapproval to let him speak for the campaign right now /

The last two words above speak volumes. Right now means mittens won’t let him speak now, but if he’s nominated the poofter will be back.
Tells me mittens whole attitude towards conservatives will change if he is nominated. He will move farther left than people wish.
Etch-a-sketch is working overtime.
Too bad, it doesn’t matter what caricature Romney draws for himself during the election, because that’s what it will be a caricature barely representative of the true liberal known as Romney.
“He will move farther left than people wish”
If he move any farther left now he’s going to fold in half.
Notice how the never say who these anti-gay conservatives were? This smells like a setup. From what I gather, Mr. Rubin, has been a staunch Republican all along, and he has been “out” all along. So there was no reason for Romney to freak out if he thought the man could do the job.
This may a move to push all conservatives out of the GOP. We know the GOP-E wants us gone.
If he move any farther left now hes going to fold in half.

LOL I was hoping you would say “fall off the planet”.
I already left.
Anyone half aware of the 2006 campaign remembers the Democrats and their Mark Foley and Senator Craig news stories ~
The Republican party can't afford more of that ~ we don't want to lose Congress.
Let me say this about the whole thing ~ if Mitt actually knew any Republicans besides the big money guys ~ like if he maybe knew some people who were Country Clubbers, or maybe TEAPartiers, or possibly traditional Establishment, or Conservatives, or even a couple of Libertarians ~ you know, the kind of people you run into in the management branches of the Republican party, he'd already have known what the problem in hiring this guy was.
Not that he's a bad man, but the American public does not vote for Republicans who push the homosexual agenda ~ even though it'll vote for any Democrat who thinks all that stuff is OK.
Mitt was engaged in an act that would ultimately LOSE THE WHOLE DARNED ELECTION!
I"m very worried about this guy being so tone deaf to politics ~ he's just not there.
The big money guys ought to reconsider their investment ~ they bought their boy, but he's an idiot ~
They all acted like this VERY DANGEROUS act was nothing ~ didn't say a thing.
No candidate who endangers every single election this year can be allowed on the ticket!
Too little, too late, baby killing spawn of satan.
No vote from me!
Dealing with Islamic countries?
I honestly believe (for today at least) that the GOP is just the “relief valve” for those of us who won’t accept the collectivist NWO program. It’s become just another form of control.
