MORE BLOWBACK AGAINST OUR WHINEY, IMMODEST, AND SHAMELESSLY SELF-PROMOTING PRESIDENT

The blowback continues from President Obama’s overreaching attempt to turn the killing of Osama bin Laden into a weapon with which directly to attack Mitt Romney. First, some Navy SEALS, the outfit whose members risked their lives to kill bin Laden, took exception. Then, a key operative at the CIA, who helped secure intelligence that led us to bin Laden using practices opposed by Obama, balked.

"A recently disclosed memorandum from then-CIA Director Leon Panetta shows that the president’s celebrated derring-do in authorizing the operation included a responsibility-escape clause: “The timing, operational decision making and control are in Admiral McRaven’s hands. The approval is provided on the risk profile presented to the President. Any additional risks are to be brought back to the President for his consideration. The direction is to go in and get bin Laden and if he is not there, to get out.” Which is to say, if the mission went wrong, the fault would be Adm. McRaven’s, not the president’s."

Wow. How cowardly is that. If it failed, the barackness monster would have washed his hands of any responsibility. Even Carter took responsibility for the failed hostage rescue attempt.

I just listened to his speech to the troops in Afghanistan tonight.

They didn't buy a single word he said.

If these were handpicked troops ... we've a pretty good group of folks in service.

What type of failure?

If he didn’t get Bin Laden, none of us would have learned about it.

If one of our helicopters was shot down and 30 Americans were killed, including 22 highly trained Navy SEALS, we would have moved on. After all, the MSM wasn’t going to dwell on that story. Especially when people wondered aloud whether the administration was getting a bit loose lipped before the mission was finalized.

Funny how Obama never mentions that part of the story.

Yes, of course. He has been incredibly honorable throughout and even before his presidency. He even occupied the Office of the President Elect soon after his election.

Now, as further evidence of his honorable character, he will doubtless accept another even more appropriate office, that of the President Reject. Although disappointing to some, First Lady Obama will rejoice.

Even Carter took responsibility for the failed hostage rescue attempt.

Very good point.

Also, Carter was a natural-born American citizen and Constitutionally eligible for the office he held.

I recall the images of President BJ leading a few columns of uniformed military around the White House yard. (Yes I know how big it is.)

I cannot come up with the correct search words to locate the photos.. though I would not be surprised to find out that all images had been purged. BJ was that stupid looking and totally out of place. But at least he did it here.

I can see Obama in some kind of gaudy, ridiculous uniform draped in gold braid with rows of medals he awarded himself for imagined military exploits of derring-do, while Chris Matthews writhes in orgasmic, apoplectic ecstacy. I used to wonder how power could push a man from the precipice of sanity to the patently absurd, such as Nero’s fiddling or Caligula’s delusional divinity. Just wait until Obama appoints his dog Bo to a cabinet position. Nothing, absolutely nothing, is beyond the pale.
