It's not as bifurcated as male and female, again it will depend on how you define gender inclusive or gender neutral communities, so again we're too early in the process to say what it's going to look like or how we will define it, said Hemlata Jhaveri, director of Residence Law at UT.
According to Jhaveri, the discussion to allow men and women to co-habitate in the same campus dorm rooms began early this spring when a campus group called STANDOUT, advocates for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender student rights, approached the Residence Hall Association with the request.

The gay mafia will not rest until every single social more in the arena of sex is gone. They think accomplishing that will assuage their guilt over their immorality, but it can’t and won’t.
Deeper and deeper we go into the bowls of hell, defying the precepts of G-d.
What could possibly go wrong?
There was a shocking movie made years ago, “The Harrad Experiment”, about this very topic.
I guess that movie wouldn’t be shocking today.
When I was at Univ. of Tennessee, 1963, girls were not allowed
past the lobby of the dorm, even for visits.
As for gays, they were so in the closet, we never even thought about them.
On a side note - An Ob-Gyn refuses to give her college patients any of the IUDs for birth control because she says the UT campus is the worst cesspool of STDs in the country and that the IUDs harbor the ickies.
Yet another example of cultural entropy.
“Any wonder the city motto is “keepin’ Austin weird.”
I’m all for it! If you all in Austin can be happy and stay there, then I’m all for your motto.

“Ickies”. I never heard that word but it’s certainly appropriate here. Ickies sounds yuckie. lol
And to think that even Plato and Socrates and Aristotle (pagans) knew that the only purpose for education was to instill Virtue.
The Founding Fathers also agreed that Virtue was the most important reason for public education.
Without Virtue—there can be no freedom. Cultural Marxists took over the culture in America in the 50’s to destroy Virtue—morality in children. They own the public schools since Dewey and the media. McCarthy and Whittaker Chambers tried to warn us in the 50’s. No one believed them since MSM marginalized them. The courts outlawed God from the public square. Solzhenitsyn warned us in 1978 of our lying Marxist press, but we didn’t listen, and, again, MSM ignored his message because they were a cover for the Marxists. And Jimmy Carter—the Commie— gave them the power to brainwash and condition every child’s mind in public schools in every state of the nation.
if we could direct a plague......
This is not what a man will stand up and fight and die for. Will the last one to leave please turn out the lights?
Austin - doing everything they can to truly EARN the title of “San Francisco of the South!”
I have to travel there several times a month and I get in and get out (during daylight hours)! Even during the day, there are nuts all over the dang place!
It is hard to believe that city is part of Texas, much less the freaking CAPITAL!
What about cats and dogs?
“again it will depend on how you define gender inclusive or gender neutral communities”
Yeah, it’s all how you “define” Male or Female. *rolls eyes*
My dorm didn’t allow women after a certain hour, but nobody followed it. My roomie always went home on weekends, so my gal and I had the room to ourselves most weekends (didn’t hurt that my roommate outfitted the room really nicely - rugs, stereo, etc.). The RA was cool about it, as long as there were no problems. And, since I wasn’t some weirdo deviant bringing in rough trade from some “alternative lifestyle” hookup website or newsweekly, there never was a problem.
I like to think of Austin as a contained cesspool of liberals. There are few cities in this great state where they can fit in, so I’m willing to give them Austin to ruin as long as they stay put and keep their social experimentation away from normal people. I can promise you Baylor won’t be going coed anytime soon!
I thought they did that years ago.
That worked fine in Haight-Ashbury, Californicatia. For a few years.
