Gov. Rick Scott signed legislation Tuesday designed to punish companies that do business with Cuba or Syria. Both nations are on the U.S. State Department list of state sponsors of terrorism.
For a symbolic flourish, Scott signed the bill, House Bill 959, in the Freedom Tower in Miami, a building that once served as a processing center by the federal government for refugees fleeing Fidel Castros communist regime.

Indeed, the Florida Chamber of Commerce is pissed off about this law.
But the media apparently did NOT know yesterday about the inclusion of Syria in this bill. Very smart move by the writers of the legislation....see, the Miami liberal press like to ignore Castro's atrocities...but they are really upset about Syria....so now they have to cover this story with a modicum of "balance".
Scott’s going to catch it here of FR as well. There are some FReepers who think Cubans walk ON the water to get here...
