9 of the top 10 boys in my high school smoked daily. 3 of the top 10 girls that I knew of. Usually several times a day including right before school and during lunch. But they were very discreet so you'd never know unless they told you. It didn't harm anyone’s life and most went on to Ivy League schools where smoking is even more common.
The kids you saw smoking near school grounds, failing classes, etc were idiots and failures to begin with. If pot wasn't available, they would still cut classes and drink 40 ouncers down the block.
Makes me wonder where the money comes from to afford such an expensive item.

The last four presidents who have put the country on a path to destruction went to Ivy League schools.
On a more micro level, doesn't it give you a warm confident feeling if you know your surgeon, dentist or lawyer is smoking dope between cases or appointments?

The schools aren’t what they used to be and there is much liberal indocrination, but they still only accept those with the highest scores from the highest ranked high schools.
Yes, some wealthy families use money and influence to get their kids accepted. But my high school was very far from wealthy. The projects were visible from school grounds and many of the kids that lived there “attended” our school.
I think it’s quite a similar situation in Britain. Young people just getting hammered drunk everywhere. If you treat someone like a child, they will act as a child.
An ounce should last a person a pretty long time.
Marijuana is a “ho-hum” situation compared to the really nasty drugs out there.
It is comparable to fretting about children getting tattoos when others are having their limbs amputated, rhetorically speaking. Pay attention to the amputation fad FIRST. The tattooing is really unimportant compared to that. Yeah, I’m sure that tattooing is a “gateway to amputation”, but that’s not important right now.
So what are the EXTREMELY DANGEROUS DRUGS proliferating right now?
It is legal, prescription opiates and synthetic opiates.

In fact, there is a profusion of drugs like the Vicodin class (Hydrocodone/paracetamol)(semi-synthetic opioid), as well as the Hydromorphone class, and the Hydromorphinol class, and the Oxymorphone class. Dozens of brand names and generics.
In short, these are effectively “middle class heroin”, at about 20% of the strength of heroin, the balance made up with OTC NSAID pain reliever drugs such as acetaminophen.
But now there is an intent to market 100% purity of these drugs not in combination with other drugs. But as addictive as heroin.
The skyrocketing rate of abuse of these dangerous narcotics has long been so great as to give the federal government an excuse to obtain all prescription records from all citizens, a massive loss of privacy that has yet to show any lessening of the levels of addiction.
It has been pointed out as well that for those addicted to these drugs that they are both so expensive and so relatively controlled that heroin is a reasonable alternative, both cheaper and more widely available.
And guess what prescription drug addicts will do if they are cut off? For years, there were only about 1 million US heroin addicts. This is not just IV heroin, but snorting and smoking heroin as well.
This is a huge, national problem.
The last year for data was 2009, with an estimated 7 million Americans abusing such prescription drugs, increasing by 13% in a single year. It has continued to increase at a high rate.
I have no idea. Guess it would depend on if you’re smoking daylight till bedtime.
It's better if they're getting drunk instead?
