President Bush is eating in my undisclosed location [vanity, sort of]

On November 27, 2003, one of the funniest FreeRepublic threads was born. An excited soldier broke the news that President Bush was eating in his undisclosed location.

It was a complete surprise to him, to us and the media. Nobody knew where Bush was! The professional stealth and management of a dangerous but wonderful operation was a thing of beauty.

Flash forward to 2012 and the immature Obama administration. Everyone knew long before Obama spoke that he was in Afghanistan. The bizarre thing was the threats made against journalists like Jammie Dupree who had to tell Neal Boortz "I don't know" when asked directly if Obama was in Afghanistan. Boortz instantly knew that Dupree was lying. It was a strange moment in Radio.

Someone in the Obama administration either leaked the information (with or without Obama's approval), or the whole administration is a sad, pathetic joke that can't do anything right.

Bush was far from being the perfect president. He spent WAY too much money, but he sure was more professional than Obama. At times, I wonder if we can make it through the next 7 months without a fatal blunder by the Obama keystone cops, much less survive 4 more years of him. Please vote him out in 2012.

Me, too. He did some stuff that drove me through a wall, but he also did a lot of good things. Until we had Obama to contrast him with, I don’t think we all knew how good we had it with him.

Bush served the troops in the chow line.
Hillary ate with the troops (serving was beneath her).
It's beneath Obama to even speak directly to a soldier.

That top-secret Thanksgiving trip to Iraq was just plain cool. Even W’s family didn’t know.

Yesterday, however, it was such a circus that the Chinese told the world where the American President was, and the White House denied it for hours. Once again, everyone laughing at us, clowns in charge, something we’ve grown to expect.

I concur. Anyone who doesn’t actively work to rid our country of Obama is either unAmerican or just too full of themselves to give an inch.

I propose a bumper sticker:

Listening to Jammie Dupree's attempt to evade the subject, I immediately thought that Obama had pulled a Brer Rabbit, "Please don't throw me into that briar patch!". I figured they told the reports and warned them not to tell anyone else because, 1). they new the story would get out and start building excitment 2). they could then beat up on whichever media "leaked" the information and try for public sympathy and 3). they could exercise more of their almost stalinist type control over the media

This is the tape of Bush greeting the troops in Iraq that Thanksgiving Day so long ago...

http://www.c-spanvideo.org/program/179325-1

Notice the genuine love and admiration for the troops as well as their genuine joy to see him.

He comes in around the 1 minute mark...

“We did not charge hundreds of miles into the heart of Iraq and pay a bitter cost of causalities and liberate 25 million people only to retreat before a band of thugs and assassins,”

And check out the warm greeting the troops give President Bush here...

“Everyone knew long before Obama spoke that he was in Afghanistan.”

That’s what I had heard too, but a co-worker said no, nobody knew until he had left because that’s when the bomb went off. Got a link I can use to refute her? Please & thank you.

I don’t have a link, but I was listening to Neal Boortz yesterday, and he asked Jamie Dupree multiple times about where Obama is and is he in Afghanistan. Dupree would only say in a cryptic way “I do not know”. It quickly became obvious he did know and was told not to say in public. Why did Boortz know to ask, if it wasn’t openly known?
