Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz Accuses GOP of 'Making Sure That We Would Redefine Rape' By Matt Cover
(CNSNews.com) Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz of Florida, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee, accused Republicans on Tuesday of "making sure that we would redefine rape."
I think the agenda of the Republican Party and of Mitt Romney has clearly been--and can be interpreted as--an attack on the issues that matter to women, Wasserman-Schultz said during a conference call.
From the very beginning of this Congress, she said, the first priorities in the first bills the Republicans introduced repealing the Affordable Care Act which would dramatically impact women in a negative way [by] making sure that insurance companies could drop us or deny us coverage for preexisting conditions, making sure that we could once again be charged more simply because of our gender for insurance coverage, making sure that we would redefine rape as only being forcible rape--that was H.R. 3.
Wasserman-Schultz was referring to the No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, which sought to make the ban on federal funding of abortions permanent, removing the need to pass the Hyde Amendment every year.

And this woman reps the party that enables a religion of peace around the globe, a religion of peace which blames the woman for the rape.
The sad thing about Debbie is that she isn’t even embarrassed about all of the ridiculous things she says.
So men don’t have pre-existing conditions? And “Individual” heath insurance packages are gender based?
Liberals redefined murdering a child as “abortion”.
Liberals redefined murder of a rape victim as a “Muslim Honor Killing”.
Liberals redefined murder by terrorist acts as “activism”. (Bill Ayers and the Weatherman domestic terrorists and Obama’s best friend that wrote his books)
True. Democrats do tell lies with abandon. But there is always a reason, a hidden agenda.
The question I have in this case is: what is the reason for this seemingly-bizarre narrative (since when is rape not forced?)? I guarantee you there is an original source - let's see if we can find it.
Under H.R.3 - No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion Act, an act to prohibit taxpayer funded abortions and to provide for conscience protections, and for other purposes; statutory rape would no longer be covered by Medicaid (taxpayers) in case where a minor were impregnated by an adult.
The Republicans are not attempting to redefine "rape". They are trying to limit taxpayer funding for abortions in cases where a minor is involved.
You nailed it. She is a bully with her loud voice.
You are so right.
Dems are still flogging that `war on women plusungood’ theme,
and Ms Frizzle could still make a freight train jump track.
Indeed what we call rape the democrats call it taxes,
Oh my! You should have included an ugly warning with the link!
Wait until the Dems experience their beloved Sharia Law. Their hatred for Christianity far exceeds any fear for Sharia.
Look on the bright side.
