Skip to comments.White and wrong: On the reservation with Elizabeth Warren

We all know about undocumented workers. Now we have Elizabeth Warren, the undocumented Indian.
Funny thing, I think Ted Williams was one-fourth Mexican. He was white. Johnny Bench is one-eighth Indian. I always think of him as white. And then theres Pochantas Warren, the blue-eyed, one-32nd Cherokee (or so were told) who went from the Southwest Conference to the Ivy League over the course of a decade in which she was claiming to be a minority professor.
But once shed parlayed the racial-spoils racket all the way to a tenured position at Harvard Law, she decided to ... pass, as they used to say in the old South. Once shed reached the pinnacle of her trade, she ditched the fake-Indian routine. Maybe White Eyes Warren saw the smoke signals and figured out that someone was going to call her out on her ancestry. She was right.

If being 1/32 Indian makes you an official Indian, I suspect we have at least 100 million Indians in our nation. I don’t blame the tribal officials for being irritated by such nonsense.
Call it what it is, it’s racism.
By virtue of their race, some people are entitled to things I can never have, no matter how hard I work, no matter how much I accomplish - by virtue of my humble birth, I will never have the “Equality” given to those who’s ancestry differs from mine.
Does this, in any way, correct the injustices done by white people I have nothing in common with? My ancestors were not in this country at the time. In fact, I can show that my ancesters spent their lives fighting slavery, as Missionaries in Madagascar, risking their lives and the lives of thier families. Is there anything I could have done, but failed to do, to have prevented these injustices performed decades or centuries before my birth?
Yet, I am denied the benefits that are freely given to others, based solely upon the color of my skin.
Anyone notice the American-Indian wannabes usually seem to claim “Cherokee?” What about: Mattaponi, Powhatan, Cree, Arikara, Assiniboine or Hidatsa?
C’mon Elizabeth, get more creative with your wannabe-ness.
Where’s my casino ?
Elizabeth Warren — just another MASSole ... and the millions of Libtard hypocrites who won’t hold their vermin to some kind, any kind of standards ...
Pochantas Warren... lol
Warren talked a good story when she first arrived on the TARP scene. It’s been downhill for her ever since.
I’ve been saying for years that the left is promoting a form of neo-feudalism.
This is just part of it. By reason of whom you’re born to, some are entitled to things other people are not.
Ow! Normally that would leave a mark, but in the final analysis, the MSM will rally around Sacajewarren, just as they rallied around Stolen Valor Blumenthal.
If dems lie, cheat, steal, or even murder, they get a pass. Let's face it - dems have no honor so why would they hold each other accountable when their own hands are dirtied with shame.
Great slaughter article by Howie
Boy did he pick the wrong week to have (needed)elective surgery (out all week to recover). I wish he’d at least call into his own show for an hour segment or two from his house - this story is fire-water!
It was a good read. Affirmative action should be dismantled.
The original title cught my eye over on RealClearPolitics...
“On the Reservation with Pocahontas Warren”...he must have taken some heat on that one and changed it...but it made me laugh out loud and click the link. Howie makes excellent ppoints, all while injecting some humor.
Personally, I think she is done. I hope Massachusetts voters are fed up.
My uncle (a Harvard Engineering grad) would be spinning if he he could see what Harvard has become.
Yeah, just another Indian-wannabe/liberal-washicu.
Go back far enough and we are all a little bit of everything. Warren is no big wampum.
I hope Avi Nelson is in for Howie again today. He obliterated the Moonbats, Josh and Steve from Montreal.
I think Colonel Hunt is the guest host today - Pftt
Avi was great yesterday - putting Steve from Montreal in his place.
Probably end up listening to WTIC out of Hartford, CT or NPR - eek! (got to keep tabs on ‘em)
My wife and now my kids add Puerto Rican Taino Indian to the mix, but we don't call them little Indians... although, I think I might for fun :-)
My priorities are in this order; 1) Christian, 2) American, 3) Human
1/32nd Cherokee is precisely what my wife is....
is Harvard hiring?
Vandy would be closer admittedly
Who was that leftist professor a couple of years ago who claimed to be Indian, but wasn’t? He was a real jerk, but the communist media tried to protect him.
My mother always told us kids that our great-great grandmother was full-blooded Ojibwa, but since I’ve never been able to prove it, I don’t even mention it. I’ve got two photos of her, and she does look like she could be indian, but since her marriage certificate shows her parents as members of the Church of England, I just figured the story was a bunch of hooey.
Any way, this story caused me to check up on Shania Twain :-) who was adopted by Jerry Twain, "a full-blooded member of the Ojibwa First Nation". She is recorded as a 50% Ojibwa due to adoption. I thought that is cool. :-)
Shania trumps Elizabeth Warren!
You omitted the Fakowi tribe from your list. So, I ask you: Where the Fakowi?
Ha! VERY good!
"What would you call a free pass to Columbia and then Harvard Law? For a guy who thinks there are 57 states and that they speak Austrian in Austria? Who pronounces corpsman corpseman? Who became editor of the Harvard Law Review without ever having written a single article for the publication?"
As for the Cherokee, they were a really large tribe and not only spread out across the Smokey Mountain region but they were forced to march west in probably the most disgraceful and miserable action our nation has ever done. (trail of tears)
That abominable action spread them out more and resulted in a broadcast mixing of their tribe with others (black, white, other indians, etc)
The forced relocation of American Indians began with the Indian Removal Act of 1830. In 1838 the Cherokee Indians became the fifth major tribe to experience forced relocation to Indian Territory, present-day Oklahoma. Along the trail nearly 4,000 Cherokee died of starvation, exposure, or disease. The forced removal of the Indians remains a black mark on American history, and reminds those who desire freedom, that all people deserve a life of liberty regardless of race, religion, or ethnicity.Trail of Tears
LOL! You Tube has some great renditions of Irving Berlin’s “I’m and Indian, too”, from Annie Get Your Gun. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1SV93VCrDsY
Make it viral!
People like you are extraordinarily rare. Bravo on a job well done!!
For better or for worse, you are the captain of your destiny, owing credit to none.
We must be related! Our family has the exact same story - great-great-grandmother through our French Canadian grandfather was North Lake Superior Ojibwa.
Michael Graham had a lot of fun with it on 96.9. Even my teenagers got a kick out of the show.
Yeah, Avi and the Colonel don’t cut it.
-—, Joe Kennedy, to a lake of “free” heating oil from Hugo Chavez.-—
Don’t knock Joe! He personally delivers each tank of oil. I’ve seen the TV commercial. And, he does it for a salary of just $700k/year from his non-profit organization.
The guy is all heart.
Not true. According to the Obama administration, if Rusty even so much as crossed a street with the help of a government-owned traffic light when he was in elementary school, he owes everything he ever accomplishes to government.
My mother was born in Picton, Ontario.

The Cherokee swelled their ranks when they allowed membership open to any quantum, ergo anyone who can trace their lineage to the Dawes roll is afforded full tribal membership. It watered down the benefits to full quantum, accordingly. The Navajo did not play that game and require at least 1/4 quantum for tribal membership. At least one grandparent must be full-blooded in order to get the freebies. At least they have some degree of contact with a tribal member, at least in theory. Not so for the red-headed, freckled-faced boy who spent a summer at the Indian Hospital where I worked. When I asked his quantum, he was too embarrased to answer. I guess a free-ride to dental school isn’t a bad gig for a poor Irish.. I mean Indian boy.
That is because there is no such thing as a full blood Cherokee anymore. However since they discovered Casinos wholesale DNA testing has ensued. I think the Cherokee will accept that kind of data. Paternity courts however will not let you off the hook for child support.
