Another Misleading Edit Costs Another NBC News Employee Her Job

Lilia Luciano, a Miami-based NBC News correspondent, is no longer working for the network, TVNewser has learned.

Luciano last reported for NBC News March 31. Until that point, she had been reporting mainly on the Trayvon Martin story.

Sources tell TVNewser Luciano’s dismissal came after an investigation which also led to the firing of a seasoned NBC News producer over a similar, misleading edit.

In a story for the “Today” show on March 20, Luciano used part of the George Zimmerman 911 call in which an entire phrase (italicized below) was taken from a later part of the conversation:

Zimmerman: This guy looks like he’s up to no good or on drugs or something. He’s got his hand in his waistband. And he’s a black male. Dispatcher: Are you following him? Zimmerman: Yeah. Dispatcher: Okay, we don’t need you to do that.

They can’t even agree how to “enhance” the audio.

If this keeps up, expect NBC to throw it’s remaining editorial weight behind tort reform. Either that, or change the network name to ZBC. (Zimmerman Broadcasting Corp.)

NBC News liked to pride itself on how “Fair” it was and several CEOs and VP’s have stated that even if NBC did own MSNBC, which they acknowledge leans Left, they had set up a wall between MSNBC’s opinions and commentaries and NBCs factual reporting.

Ha! She did what NBC bosses always want - she slanted the story left. The only problem with this case is that she tarred and feathered Zimmerman as a “white racist” during the Klan with the Tan rally via creative editing. NBC is responsible for a lot of white people getting beat up and for the Klan putting a price on Zimmerman’s head. She/NBC got caught in this particular propaganda venture because a lot of the public had available the original tape and found out they manipulated for liberal race hate.

They only fired her to cut their losses for when Zimmerman or another victim of the whitey witch hunt they orchestrated comes to collect on their little racist “mistake.”
