Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but aren’t West Virginia and Arkansas the last states left where the old conservative Southern Democrats dominate the state?

Maybe there are opportunities. After all, there was a day when people thought Gingrich was crazy to believe people in Georgia would vote for a Republican.

I think the GOP could clean up with Jacksonian Democrats and other working class whites from West Virginia to Arkansas and beyond. The only places they won't win are the mandated minority/majority districts mandated from the Voting Right's ACT, IIRC, and the big cities.
