Fox News anchor Shep Smith, with the help of GOP veteran Ed Rollins, gave a brutal review of Newt Gingrichs exit from the Republican presidential race sure to exacerbate the feud between Gingrich and the conservative cable news network.
Says Rollins: He epitomhttpized the sore loser. This is a tough game, but he epitomized the sore loser.
Said Smith, harkening back to the beginning of Gingrichs campaign: I thought then he was delusional, and now Im sure.

Well, Newt Skywalker is out- says he'll support GOP-e Romney. So, Newt and I part company here.
What I'll remember most from this cycle is that it revealed the true colors of former allies who, for the sake of their purses, had been hypocritically concealing their inveterate contempt for their audience (market).
Sorry Newt- its NO to the GOP-e.
And for as long as FR leads the resistance- Im in, until FRs out.
Eff Shep.
They will not be redeemed from the POW Camps.
Whatever, anyone with eyes can see that Newt’s goal was to block Santorum. The powers that be control the game and unfortunately those powers don’t give a rat’s ass about the USA.
Shemp SMith is a God cursed Sodomite, and if recent pics are accurate, he also has AIDS...I can not stomach the sight of him, let alone his yammering on his TV program (and just a heads up...he is all about “bears”...Wake up people...in the gay community a BEAR is a hirsute partner! Shep is WAY too enamoured with them...then again...our entire country is going to hell...and FAUX news is on board that fast train to hell
Shep has sh-t for a brain, haven’t watched him since his absurd Katrina coverage.
I believe Newt is still on the ballot, I’ll vote for him next Tuesday.
I would have loved to see a campaign between Newt and Obama, but it’s not gonna be.
SHep, go take care of your health, you look like you rolled around the sewer a few too many times.
Let them talk all they want, but when the Romney Republicans come up short in November, the party will be forced to return to those of us who are needed for victory.
Shep’s IQ is what, a third of Newts? On a good day?
What a little dumb diva.
Well, it they think he’s the worse, they best not interview me nor my spouse on camera. We think they are-well, I will wait until I am on TV. 2 Jerks to be nice. Ed Rollins, the loser, the back stabber, the money chaser and a Chris Matthews wanna -a -be. Head to desk. (Hey TV guys, he stayed in the race because his supporters pleaded with him to stay in/ for an event the nit wit liberal Obama lite Romney fails and was exposed before Tampa so there could had been a brokered convention. Okay, you knew that.. you stopped it..
Shep was a douche coming out of Newt’s speech with the comments he made. Turned it off as soon as Rollins opened his mouth. I have no use for these hosebags.
Everyone has a right to an opinion, but that doesn’t mean every opinion can be honorably held.
Shep Smith has become Fox’s own Dan Rather - complete with “cuter than a speckled puppy” pseudo-southern euphemisms.
Fox may be trying to appeal to refugees from the dissolution of Rachel Maddow’s alternate universe but Shep’s blatant plagiarism of Chris Matthew’s schtick is too much!
Even if he were pretending to be a “commentator” such as O’Reilley or Hannity he wouldn’t be much good at it, but injecting his astoundingly silly opinions as a pretending “news reader” gives aid and comfort to George Soros’ lackeys trying to bring Fox down.

I switch channels at 3 and 7 PM.
You have some guarantee that you’ll rule the ruins?
Now you see one of the reasons I quit watching FoxNews over a year ago. :(
All the candidates are going to support Romney, simply because they’re loyal Republicans. Heck, even Bachmann is endorsing Romney.
It’s true that the primary system is very badly broken, but the fact is that most GOPers are obviously perfectly happy with big-government, nanny-state candidates. There was no difference between Romney and Santorum on that, except that the social conservatives wanted Santorum because he said their buzz-words, and I think he’s now trying to negotiate for the VP slot.
People simply didn’t want a real change, and that’s why they didn’t vote for Gingrich. He’s just acknowledging this (but obviously, he feels that Obama again would be even worse than Romney).
I’m still hoping for something to happen between now and the convention, but I think it’s a pretty frail hope.
Are you sure that’s what Shep said?
He may have been mumbling with Rollins **** in his mouth and all....
For what it’s worth Jay Severin who worked on pat Buchanan’s campaign said the same thing.
I disagree with some of your analysis, but think the truth is in there.
We had a weak field and conservative opposition to Romney never unified behind a single candidate, neither among the voters or the candidates.
This was predictable early - Thomas Sowell did among others.
Romney could have been beat, but nothing changed, no new candidates, no unifying behind a single notRomney opposition.
At least Gloria Vanderbilt’s little boy is out of the closet.
Gingrich had no interest whatsoever in Santorum. I think Santorum was actually aiming to be Romney’s VP all along, and I think that’s what will happen.
They share exactly the same big-government, nanny-state “compassionate conservative” positions, combined with a lot of GOP insider background (don’t forget, Santorum was one of those who shot down Gingrich in revenge for the success of the Contract with America, which made the GOP look dangerous in the eyes of Dems).
There has been some talk that Romney might go for Rob Portman or some other Midwestern RINO from a big union state, but I think that he will probably pick Santorum because he wants to get the social conservatives, and “St Rick” has calculated this since Day One.
But, once again, I hope that something will happen between now and the primary that will prevent Romney from getting it, although I think the possibility is pretty slim unless a meteor from the planet Kolob strikes him.
BTW, two other points.
1. Karl Rove wishes he was Ed Rollins. Rollins is the real architect. Rove barely managed to squeak out a win over two of the most incompetent Rats that ever ran for the Presidency.
2. Gingrich’s speech was awesome.
Where is the obligatory effeminate pic of Schlep in his lipstick and garish garb?
Shemp Smith is not one of the original Three Stooges..
meaning O’Really, Hannity and Van Susteran...
His mouth speaks but usually always says nothing..
He is not the brightest candle in the Shrine..
My faith provides the only guarantee that I trust. I am not a Romney Republican.
Yes, I heard that ugly, gay anchor disparage Newt’s speech and insult the the Speaker—but he was quiet on the topic an hour later. Does anyone believe Shep knows anything about conservatism to even have a genuine opinion on Newt’s remarks? Please.
I can’t stand Smith. I watched his show once and never watched it again. There’s something about a guy who wears so much mascara that’s a real turn off.
His opinions are irrelevant.

I have never cared for Shep.
He isn’t nearly as witty or funny as he thinks he is. And you really noticed it when he came on before/after Cavuto, who is both.
So, no, no guarantee. Yet you’re cheerleading for Obama’s victory to make things all better for the GOP.
That worked so well last time.
We learned a couple of things for sure.
One, we are cynics for a very good reason—that all is as exactly as it appears. Business. As. Usual. (Pols and happy pundits included.)
Two, that “if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it”, is the mantra of the GOPE who successfully collect useful idiots they just scammed....for the umpteenth time.
You have been a keeper. :)

You seem to imply my not supporting Romney is tantamount to my supporting Obama. I’ll just repeat what I posted earlier:
I have been told that my not voting for Romney is tantamount to a vote for Obama. Im sure there are people on the other side of the spectrum who will tell me that my not voting for Obama is tantamount to a vote for Romney.
If there is any logic to those arguments, then my not voting for either Obama or Romney is tantamount to one vote for each of them, giving me two votes for President. If I am offered a legal way to vote twice, why shouldnt I take advantage of that offer?
Ill use my two votes to vote for neither Obama nor Romney this November.
And, Ill leave the rest to God.
Don’t be afraid. Things are never as good or as grim as they might seem at the time.
And, trust God.

Mebbe.
And that’s the ONLY way I’d vote for Mittens.
Alright...I’d vote if Sarah were VP.
Please, I'm just a skeered an old man.
And, trust God.
I do, it's some humans I worry about.
And, Ill leave the rest to God.
With that excuse, a person can do any idiotic thing they darn well please and claim it's God's fault.

You show an amazing ability to confuse yourself.
And no, I'm not 'implying.' Here, listen to Brietbart for some clarity.
Milt would make me his VP nominee before he’d pick Governor Sarah Palin.
Rollins and Shepard will tuck their tails between their legs and run when Newt’s backers remember their nasty remarks in November. Just don’t blame Newt when Obama wins.
Thank you for the the reference to the Andrew Breitbart quote. Bless his heart, he was very special and his loss will be felt for a long time. I trust he is with God now and free of all this political baloney. But, that’s just my faith talking again.
As for November, i will join Andrew in not voting for Romney and I will know that I am doing the right thing for me. That’s all I can do. I cannot work to advance that which I know is evil.
Don’t be fearful. God isn’t going anywhere and He will show us the way.
Ditto, Rita. We may have lost the battle, but you sure gave them “what-for”. -)
The problem with Shep is that he has a 5-year-old’s silliness trapped inside a twelve-year-old’s brain.
If maturity were required to graduate from junior high, he’s be repeating for the 23rd time. The Shep/BOR two hour slot is frankly embarrassing
By the way, is Shep on a hunger strike or suffering from wasting disease or AIDS or what?
Someone didn't watch the speech or has a problem comprehending. Try it again, pay attention.
Romney may come up short, but conservatives will be further away from winning four years from now, not closer. If a candidate like Obama can win twice in a row, their is nothing to stop what will follow. This was the election cycle we had to win. A failure like Obama shouldn’t have chance of winning a second term. The America that would do that doesn’t have any magic tricks up its sleeve that will give us a winning conservative next time around.
Much better to just let evil continue and call it God's will.
I still think I'm discussing with someone with a brain and free will.
Yet, your brief posting history seems full of appeals for Obama's victory at all cost. That's advancing evil, unless you truly want Obama to win, which apparently is the case.
Until evidence to the contrary, I'll consider you a troll. One who sprinkles his/her posts with silly faux religion.
