Look past the intended purpose of this story - to hide his proclivity for men - and pay attention to the fact that she's a foreign student. Once again, Barry hangs with the foreigners. In College, this was quite the norm, foreign students stuck together. IMHO, all this story does is lend more credence to the theory that Barry was registered as a foreign student.
