I screwed up.. Strike ‘SpaceX’ from the title. Thanks for the correction. Looks like there’s a problem with a valve at the moment. The SpaceX launch is on Monday, May 7.
To: GeorgeWashingtonsGhost
Moderator, can you please strike ‘SpaceX’ from the title? Their launch is May 7 not May 3.

Last I heard, the SpaceX launch scheduled for Monday was on indefinite hold.

The Atlas V is the latest incarnation of the magnificent Atlas family, and while it’s completely redesigned, what you’re looking at still came from the same era when American cars sprouted tailfins...American exceptionalism at work.

Hold in effect .. problem with a valve configuration in the umbilical tower . May have to reenter the launch area to fix.

There is live commentary with large spans of no commentary. It might not go up today as they’re considering breaching the rocket to inspect a valve problem.

I’m getting audio OK , they tend to have a lot of dead air, not like the NASA cats that want to hear their own voice...

Yeah, that was it.
Sounds like they’re about to scrub the launch due to an unfavorable valve overtemp condition.

American exceptionalism at work. Except for the main engines, which we buy from Russia and can't yet replicate, although Rocketdyne is working on it. Don't get me wrong, I love the big bird anyway, but some trends are worrisome.
