BALTIMORE (WJZ)— A judge reaches a verdict for the brothers accused of beating a Baltimore teenager.

Weijia Jiang has more on the case that has divided a community.

In a split decision, as judge convicted 24-year-old Eliyahu Werdesheim of second-degree assault and false imprisonment in the beating of a then 15-year-old Corey Ausby.

But the judge did not find Eliyahu Werdesheim guilty of a third charge, wearing or carrying a dangerous or deadly weapon with intent to injure. His brother Avi Werdesheim, 22, has been cleared of all charges linked to the alleged beating.

“I’m relieved that Avi was acquitted of the charges. Needless to say, we’re devastated over Eli’s results,” said Susan Green, Avi Werdesheim’s attorney.

The judge says Eliyahu used his skills as a soldier for the Israeli Army Special Forces to take down Ausby and hit him with a walkie-talkie. She says he then pinned him to the ground.

And this is a bad thing?

Ausby wants all charges dropped, including the multimillion dollar civil suit.

Sounds like Ausby developed a conscience. But it’s too late, sounds like Eli is going to be made an example of. Can’t have neighborhood watches actually protecting anything. Got to keep them watching and doing nothing.

I’m trying to understand, the judge believed the testimony of the punk creeping homes and checking car doors over the men entrusted by their neighbors with the safety and security of their community?

Something stinks mightily here.

I hope there is an appeal.

The stink is from the rot that the dems have been feeding the stupid class in Merlin' for years.

I'm not sure there is much hope for The Old Line State anymore.

Thank God I was able to move out of the Peoples Democratic State of Maryland! It took me two years, but I found a job in Richmond and got the heck out of the cesspit of Bawlmur, Merlun.
