This will play out as Obama being the tough hero, I think, to aid in his reelection. Then, as he said to the Russians, he’ll have more room.
I suspect the Russians are following a script to help Obama, since he’s already cut a deal with them. The Russians are adding insurance that he’ll get elected.
They can’t count on Romney, if indeed he’s the nominee, to play along.

I read a long article by Pootie recently in which he laid out his case as to why Russia cannot and will not permit themselves to be ringed by so-called defensive missile sites. I would not call his bluff.
