On Sunday evenings, President Obama meets with his top ten campaign officials to "gather for a confidential briefing on his re-election," according to the New York Times. Present at these meetings, which, we learn, usually take place after the president's Sunday golf outings, are a slew of White House and campaign officials.
"The attendance roster, which was confirmed by multiple people familiar with the list, reveals a mix of White House staff, including: David Plouffe, a senior adviser and campaign manager from 2008; Jack Lew, the chief of staff; Valerie Jarrett and Pete Rouse, senior advisers; Dan Pfeiffer, the communications director; and Alyssa Mastromonaco, a deputy chief of staff who has worked for Mr. Obama since his days in the United States Senate," the Times reports. "The campaign team includes: Jim Messina, the campaign manager, who sets the agenda for the meeting; David Axelrod, a senior strategist; Stephanie Cutter, a deputy campaign manager; and Larry Grisolano, a top political adviser."
But there is one person conspicuously missing: Vice President Joe Biden. (Hillary Clinton and the rest of the cabinet are also absent.) "Instead, the room is filled with a group of trusted confidants who were at his side during the last campaign," writes the Times, suggesting that Biden is not indeed a 'trusted confidant.
This is despite the fact that Biden has been termed "campaigner in chief." He remains a constant presence on the campaign trail, holding rallies and fundraisers, trying to woo supporters with his personality and words. But, likewise, he remains a gaffe machine, continuously tripping over his words and message at these events.

She's a liar. She'll be on the ticket to try to save this fool, and if he actually wins, he'd better hire a food taster and increase his body guards. Remember Vince Foster?
Listening to Biden's inane comments for a couple of hours would probably make the rest of Zero's advisers want to jump out the window. Not that it would be a bad thing.
I hope not. I think it makes sense but i hope not because that ticket is way more formidable. Second term too he may not care so much and i could see him go that way as a last resort. Its my biggest fear about the election. I think it assures him a second term unless the economy falls off a cliff.
Biden is a dope but he’s not a communist, nor does he hate America.
Why would he be included?
This is a big f***in’ deal!
My guess is Biden is invited but can’t find the room.
Hey, Joe!.......That’s what we used to call A CLUE!...........
Your theory makes all the sense in the world.
And yet I cannot picture Hillary willingly buying a ticket on this Titanic.
What a group of ne'er do wells, America-haters, socialists, communists, incompetents, liars, and all-around delusional idiots.
Nor can I, but its not unlikely da Ho is hangin out hoping nobama will be de-invited at the dem convention. Hey stranger things happen and never count out the klintoons.
Biden’s only job is to pretend to appear even dumber than Obama.
His job is the most important in the campaign and doesn’t change.
Obama would have no chance if a person who let themselves appear of normal- or even near normal- intelligence was constantly next to him for comparison.
Hooray for Joe, his job never changes and no one knows how he manages it!
