If Obama wins, what would he do in a second term?
Washington Post ^ | May 4, 2012 | Ezra Klein

"In a second term," Mitt Romney darkly warned in a speech to the National Rifle Association last month, President Obama "would be unrestrained by the demands of reelection."

...His only specific prediction was that Obama would "remake" the Supreme Court.

....

At the end of 2012, we'll face what Federal Reserve Chairman Ben Bernanke calls "the fiscal cliff": The Bush tax cuts are set to expire, the $1.2 trillion in automatic spending cuts initiated when the deficit "supercommittee" failed to reach a deal are set to begin, we're expected to hit the debt ceiling again, and many other programs and tax credits will come up for renewal.

Around the Hill, they refer to this as "taxmageddon."

...

Beyond the deficit, Obama's advisers see two big unfinished pieces of business from the first term: climate change and immigration reform.

If anyone isn't terrified of an Obama second term, they are not facing reality...

Supreme Court, taxes, immigration, climate change ... are all on Obama's agenda.

The damage Obama can and WILL do if he gets a second term cannot be undone with another election.

Contemplate this and vote accordingly.

Better question: What wouldn’t he do? This place will not resemble the United States of the 20th Century or before, I assure you.

You must vote for a GOP house and senate. Without them..well we will see the end of the Republic as we know it.

I'm in MA, so my choices are always limited.

It's going to be very, very hard for me to vote for Scott Brown. I've been voting straight GOP ticket since 1978. This year? I really don't know if I'll vote. Maybe I'll just buy ammo that day.

Everybody on FR knows how bad Obama is and we’d love to see him out of the White House.

The issue here is that most people on FR ALSO KNOW how bad Mitt Romney is and we’d love to make sure he STAYS out of the
White House.

If you’re a conservative, vote conservative. If you aren’t then vote for the liberal republican or the liberal democrat.

It’s your vote afterall...

Yes, it all sounds good, but IN REALITY, either Obama or Romney will be president for the next 4 years.

Remember the close election between Bush and Gore.

It may be similar between Obama and Romney.

I am sure you’ll be proud to know that your vote really counted and helped Obama get a second term.

Elections are always about the “lesser of two evils”.

This guy has been too friendly to the likes of Chavez, putin, Zelaya (Honduras), with history back to Odinga, to expect that a zer0 second term there wouldn’t be a serious hidden drive to make sure he had no successor during his lifetime. I may need tin foil, maybe not... but consider that if one were to be satisfied to rule over a severely turd-worlded handicapped former US as a dictator, this guy has the mindset to seek that situation. With “successes” of one crisis after another which he found he could take advantage of and advance power, this kind of thing would be the ultimate prize. Even a severely hampered US there would be enough cream to skim for him to maintain his imperial privileges. Works fine for example even in North Korea, for the very few to live in luxury.

That is pretty much the “spoiled brat” attitude.
As much as I dislike Romney, to say that I just as soon see the country become the USSA under Obama, would be treason.

The goal now is to get Obama sent packing, no matter what it takes.
Have a nice day there in Obozoland,

And what, the damage Romney will do in 4 (or possible 8 years) counts for nothing?

But what if there isn't really a lesser evil?

On what policy does Obambi and Mittens differ?
