Media Matters, NOW unite to force Limbaugh off the air
The Daily Caller ^ | 5/4/12 | Caroline May

“Start listening to Rush Limbaugh.” That was the message representatives from Media Matters for America and the National Organization for Women delivered to NOW chapter leaders in a secret, narrowly focused strategy session Wednesday night.

In audio of the NOW/MMFA strategy webinar obtained exclusively by The Daily Caller, the liberal organizations plotted the best ways to get the radio giant and veritable burr in their collective saddles off the air.

Go after the local advertisers

The key, according to Media Matters online outreach director Jay Carmona, is to target Limbaugh at the local level — specifically advertisers in local radio markets — but with an eye on his national sponsors.

“I will say, just going by the numbers, getting local stations to drop Limbaugh is actually a hard, more long-term campaign than just looking at getting local sponsors to drop,” she explained, adding that they do not need to get the conservative talker off every local station to make an impact.

The catch, however, is that women who are active with NOW and the men who support them — whom Limbaugh often needles as the NAGs (National Association of Gals) and the “new castrati” — are actually going to have to listen to his radio show in order to identify and target those local advertisers.

“The first thing you want to do is, I say, start listening to Rush Limbaugh,” Carmona advised.

It won't work, and will probably only increase Rush's ratings, but they're getting a little smarter.

I don’t think that it’ll work either. They may eventually succeed in driving him to another venue but the only way they’ll get rid of him entirely is if “he” decides to call it quits.

Rush and the other conservatives on the air will be in grave danger if 0bama wins/steals another term.

Hell, we’re already all in grave danger.

I have been writing to local companies who send me letters soliciting business that because they have dropped Limbaugh advertising, I have dropped them as a source of goods and services. Sears, Sleep Comfort, Quicken Loans, etc.

Get your friends to do the same and threaten a local boycott of these businesses.
The worm turns!

You can also ask why this business (i.e. Sears, Quicken Loans, etc), are taking advise from a neo-marxist smear group like Media Matters, which is funded by a WW2 Nazi-supporting KAPO (Jewish turncoat) from Hungary?

That should put them on notice.

Even if they contact local advertisers, those businesses are going to have to ask which they value more - the results they’ve had from advertizing on Rush, or the potential business of the Nags and New Castrati. If Liberals represent less than 20% of the population, I think it’ll be a pretty easy decision.

The only thing that might happen...is that someone starts to dig into who funds Media Matters and NOW. Once you identify their message with the financial side of the house and label them with the supporter’s name (not NOW, not Media Matters), then this crystal palace starts to fall.

I happened to tune in today for a while, and I heard Rush mention at the outset the “mental health breaks” being advised by NOW et al., indicating that he would be accommodating. Never did hear any followup, though. Was there any? I’m supposing an official Rush Mental Health Break would be an occasion for considerable amusement.

These fools are still beating up Rush over his calling Sandra Fluke a slut.

They need to get over themselves.

If they succeed Rush goes to satellite, we go with, local stations suffer, but Rush lives on.

That’s what would happen but chances are zero to .05%. I think nags go away before Rush does

About the only things I can find that the NAGS and Meateaters Matter have in common are a hatred of America, homosexuality and Marxism/Communism.

If Obama wins another term, there won’t be much need for Rush. That will be a good sign that conservatives have already lost the political battle.

Typical liberals.

They can't out-debate him so getting rid of him is their only option.
