I would like to give you examples. And I am not pimping my site. There are NO clicks or Ad words on my site and I am sending you the direct download links. You do not even need to visit the site.

But the case I am making is in a book I am writing and it is a very tough to expose all the facts in a few lines of text. Which is why I suggested listening to it, as if we were sitting down to chat. That is the tool of talk radio or podcasts. I can make a case in 30 minutes without being boring in just text.

But, as a show of sincere faith, I will put just the barest outline here before I run out to a GOP fundraiser tonight with Ken Cucinneli of VA.

The theory ranks the 5 enemies of God and Liberty 1 through 5. With 5 being the most obvious enemy requiring the least effort time and resources to defeat and #1 being the most insidious evil cancer of which all our time and efforts need be focused.

The general principle is that we have been losing for 100 years. Since Wilson we have seen only a skirmish or two won and not a single reversal of a single gain of socialism. Name One? There is none. We are the Chicago Cubs of Politics.

Therefore, we must understand WHY. Are our ideas better than theirs? Is God real and working for us? If YES, then we are we in such shape?

Betrayal from within. 100 years of compromising.

The Democrats are ranked #5,and we have spent all our time, treasure and focus on them while dying of cancer from within.

Obama IS the LEAST of our problems, and if we do not fully understand this and are not fully prepared to clean our own house first, to remove the plank from our own eye so that we can see clearly how to deal with the left, we will NEVER restore America. And we will see the 110th year of the income tax, the 5oth year of abortion and the 10th of sodomy.

And at some point, and I suggest it is THIS Point. The Romney types won’t even need to give us lip service and lie to us for our votes. We must change tactics totally and NOW before the WAR is lost.

I don’t suggest you walk anywhere. Or ride anywhere. I suggest you do as Patrick Henry and stand firm. Liberty or DEATH. Not Socialism or Compromise and try again later. As he asked then and as Reagan asked: If not now when? When we will BE stronger? When in the last 100 years has the movement been any weaker? When has the GOP been so bold as to nominate a candidate who’s own words place him to the LEFT of George McGovern? We are drawing our last breath. But those of you who see this as Obama’s doing are gravely and I do me taking us to the grave forever, gravely mistaken. Like all empires and republics, it was the very people we trusted who betray. The English were the enemy but William Wallace was betrayed by the Scottish Nobles he wanted to lead him.

Ever is it so. It is so now. Romney IS the greater EVIL. And unless we understand this NOW, once he is in, we won’t even have a real choice again. It will be left vs far left until the money runs out and we are in bondage for generations.

So you don't know if he will or won't be worse than Obama.....because "we don't know what Mitt is exactly"... but he's just got to better than Obama somehow.

Maybe you just don't really know how politics and political parties work? When a conservative like Bachmann, Coburn, DeMint, etc, and soon Santorum, Newt, Palin, etc, endorse guys like Romney, many people here act all shocked and surprised. The reason is becausese many people don't understand how political party's function. To get anywhere or get anything done, politicians RELY on the party and those in it for support and backing for the things they want to do. They are all in the same boat, they depend on one another. That is the point of a party. If Palin runs again, for example, she will need Republican support in a general election - therefore she will give it to other Republicans when they need it.

Romney is coming up through the Republican party, therefore he is MORE beholden to Republicans than Obama or any Democrat. That means he has to at least consider what Republicans and conservatives want. Which means if he pisses the party base off on something, he has to throw them an extra bone somewhere else (which very often comes in the form of court nominees). Obama does not have to do ANY of that. Republican and conservative opposition to Hussein is something he takes pride in and uses on the campaign trail. Obama simply doesn't have to care what Republicans/conservatives want at all.

The choice is really not difficult here. Any nominee coming out of the Republican party at this point in time is going to be better than any nominee coming out of the Democrat party - simply based on what party the nominees are beholden to. Your vote is not an affirmative endorsement of a candidate, it is simply a choice between the only 2 candidates that have any chance to win.

I'm guessing for the same reason that I won't vote for Obama or Romney: my conscience.

Hey, people's conscience tells them to do all sorts of things. Sometimes those things sounds pretty bizarre. Nothing wrong with asking why someone would write-in a non-candidate who will be supporting the very nominee they claim their principles won't allow them to vote for.

Conservatives, of all people, shouldn't have a problem with someone voting their conscience. You vote your conscience, we'll vote ours.

It's a public forum. The person is announcing his intentions to do something that makes little sense. If someone states they plan to set themselves on fire in front of an abortion clinic because their conscience tells them to, I am going to at least ask why they think this is a wise course of action.

Bain Capital was more a corporate raider than anything else.

There is nothing wrong with Bain Capital. I only wish Newt had never run his mouth about that. I think it turned Rush and other prominent conservatives against him and seriously damaged his campaign. Will the Democrats use your argument? Sure. Then again, the Democrats make all kinds of leftist arguments.

At least with Obama, the battle-lines with the conservatives are clearly drawn.

I can at least understand this argument. RINO's can do enormous damage to the conservative cause because they give the Democrats and media cover to call things bi-partisan. Still, Hussein is a far, far bigger threat right now. If Romney muddles along as President and accomplishes next to nothing, at least we live to fight another day. The Supreme Court alone is reason enough to do everything possible to get a Republican in the White House and Obama out of it.

Thanks for the response. I’m with you.

I don’t see a lot of minds being changed in this thread. Some are going to vote for Mittens, no matter what. So won’t ever vote for Mittens, no matter what. Both sides seem to understand and be fine with the consequences of their decision.

Either way - the GOP have failed us. No one here claims to be willing to pull the lever for Romney because he’s the best choice. Pretty sad.

Maybe because Romney has won in Mass. already. He was governor. With Squaw Granny’s campaign self destructing, Romney and Scott Brown could pick this state off. If this happens it will be a coast to coast landslide.

But, as a show of sincere faith, I will put just the barest outline here before I run out to a GOP fundraiser tonight with Ken Cucinneli of VA.

Ken supports Romney.

The general principle is that we have been losing for 100 years. Since Wilson we have seen only a skirmish or two won and not a single reversal of a single gain of socialism. Name One? There is none. We are the Chicago Cubs of Politics..

The American people have been supporting the expansion of the welfare state. They have been sold a bill of goods in much the way that people buy Ponzi schemes. Socialism is great until you run out of other people's money. We had the New Deal, the Fair Deal, and the New Society. Bush 43 added the prescription drug program to Medicare even though it represents a $7.2 trillion unfunded liability. People like Newt Gingrich support it as well. No politician is going to suggest eliminating Medicare, Medicaid, or SS. They will try to make it run more efficiently, but there is no political will to eliminate them.

The Democrats are ranked #5,and we have spent all our time, treasure and focus on them while dying of cancer from within.

The Democrats are the party of Free Stuff, but I don't blame them but the people who elect them. By and large, the American public is uninformed and unengaged. And Reps have been complicit as well. What is happening now is the collapse of the welfare state not only here but in Europe where it is more advanced. In 1950 there were 16 workers for every retiree; today there are 3.3; and by 2030 there will be just two to support this huge welfare state. And by 2030 one in 5 residents of this country will 65 or older, twice what it is now.

SS and Medicare are pay as you go systems. SS has been running in the red since 2010 and Medicare (Part A) has been running in the red since 2008. Moreover, Medicare Parts B and D are funded by the General Fund for 75% of the costs. This is by law. The premiums only cover 25% of the costs. If nothing is done to reform the entitlement programs, they will consume the entire budget. They are unsustainable. The politicians know that and have known it for decades. They continue to kick the can down the road but now we are running out of road. Tax revenue only covers the costs of the entitlement programs and debt servicing costs. DOD and the rest of the government are funed by borrowing 42 cents of every federal dollar spent.

In order to rein in these costs before we go off the cliff, there will be much pain for the American people. And they don't want the pain, but rather, to believe the politicians who treat them like children. We are in dire straits. And our aging population will compound our problems.

Source: CBO "Combined OASDI Trust Funds; January 2011 Baseline" 26 Jan 2011. Note: See "Primary Surplus" line (which is negative, indicating a deficit)

Matters are even worse than this chart shows. In December, Congress passed a Social Security tax reduction. Workers are temporarily paying 2 percentage points less, from 6.2 percent to 4.2 percent, in Social Security payroll taxes this calendar year. Since the government is making up the shortfall out of general revenues, CBO’s deficit projections for the trust funds do not include that. But CBO’s figures predict that the "payroll tax holiday" will cost the government’s general fund $85 billion in this fiscal year and $29 billion in fiscal year 2012 (which starts Oct.1, 2011.) Since every dollar of that will have to be borrowed, the combined effect of the " tax holiday" and the annual deficits will amount to a $130 billion addition to the federal deficit in the current fiscal year, and $59 billion in fiscal 2012.

Our problem is the welfare state and a culture of dependency. We have 54 million on SS, 47 million on Medicare, 60 million on Medicaid (Obamacare will add 18 million more to the rolls), and 46 million on food stamps. Obama is increasing the size and reach of the welfare state. Obama is NOT the least of our problems. He is embedding the culture of dependence deeply into our institutions so that it will be almost impossible to remove them. Four more years will be the final nail in the coffin. Obamacare will be implemented, which will increase control over the individual and make the state more powerful. The NHS in the UK is the perfect example of how insidious that control is. No politician of any stripe including the so-called conservatives would propose eliminating it. Obama is a Marxist who hates this country and would like to transform it. He is the most dangerous person to every occupy the office of President. He is implementing terrible policies and fomenting racial and ethnic strife. He is the most polarzing political leader in our history.

Obama has doubled the numbers on food stamps even giving states monetary bonuses for increasing the numbers. Obama took over the student loan program early on in his tenure. He can now manipulate that to his advantage with students owing over $1 trillion in student loans. Partial excusing loans or reducing interest rates can buy votes for the Dems and himself.

You bleat on about eliminating the income tax when almost 50% of the peoiple pay no income taxes. They want more free stuff redistributed by the government from the 1%. Most Americans believe the wealthy should pay more taxes. Polls for Americans under 30 reveal that the split between those who favor socialism versus capitalism is about 50-50. Our schools have become indoctrination mills for the leftists. And the changing demography of America and immigration policies that import poverty are destroying our national sense of endeavor and identity. We are being Balkanized along cultural, race, ethnicity, and linguistic lines. 57% of immigrant headed households with children are on welfare.

And at some point, and I suggest it is THIS Point. The Romney types won’t even need to give us lip service and lie to us for our votes. We must change tactics totally and NOW before the WAR is lost.

I have no idea what tactics you are talking about, but allowing Obama four more years is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard. Obama is pro-abortion; he has eliminated don't ask, don't tell in the military as part of his social engineering. He will support an amnesty, which will not only legalize the status of 12 million illegals, but allow them to sponsor another 66 million legal immigrants thru chain migration, i.e., family reunification. The Heritage Foundation estimated it would cost us $2.6 trillion in just entitlement costs alone. And an amnesty is forever. There is no reversing it.

I find your analysis childish and misdirected. Obama and the welfare state are the enemies. He will expand it even further in the next four years. I have no idea what your ultimate objectives are, but we are fast running out of time and solutions. And the biggest obstacle is convincing the American people we need to change and that they will have to accept some very painful solutions. Otherwise, we will become Greeks demonstrating in the streets to retain the benefits promised by the government, which it can't deliver.

As someone who has been on this planet almost seven decades, I see this election as our last chance to change things. The Reps may not have the perfect solutions, but I know that Romney will support the repeal of Obamacare, have a pro-business agenda including energy exploration and support the Ryan budget that includes changing Medicare to a premium support program. There are still major differences between the Evil Party and the Stupid Party.

Do you honestly think 0bamao cares if he gets re-elected with a plurality or squeaks in with less than half of all votes cast?
His goal is power, plain and simple. The bolsheviks didn’t care if they got more ‘’votes’’ than the mensheviks. Power is what matters. Once power is acheived, no matter the manner, it automatically grants respectabiity and legitimacy.
Go ahead, vote for your fantasy. Once 0bamao gets the gold star, he has all of us by the short hairs.
Of course, those who didn’t go your route will hold you personally responsible for your enabling cowardice.

You speak of cowardice ... actually, it takes a heck of a lot more fortitude to stand one's ground and reject Romney than it would be to vote for him. It's always easiest to take the path of least resistance.

Of course Obama doesn't care -- he's a narcissist. But when a president is elected with 66% of the popular vote cast against him, it doesn't matter if he cares. It mattes what others think, and if they're so scared of him they believe his delusions as fully as he does even when 66% voted against him ... well ... that's a nation of rabbits.

I'm not voting for Obama, nor am I voting for Romney. I'll leave whoever wins that contest to the "will of the people." If it's O v R, I'm voting AGAINST BOTH OF THEM via 3rd party because I perceive that a vote for Romney is a vote to endorse the full gamut of liberal causes personified in the highest elected Republican who clearly has contempt for conservatism. I'll have no more to do with his winning than with his losing -- my vote is neutral; all it will do is weaken what I hope will be a miserably low plurality vote percentage of whichever statist wins.

I've just gone back four years to read some of the posts and thoughts when Obama vs McCain had to be faced. We were all assured the same thing -- Obama would be the end of the world, and that McCain was actually quite conservative!

I voted for him via Palin ... he lost. We're still here with a lot more Republicans in state legislatures AND in Congress than we had in 2008.

There's nothing new under the sun.

When it is 2015, and Obama has placed his 2nd radical Muslim on the Supreme Court, and you have lost your private health insurer due to Obamacare, I don’t want to hear any whining from all the “principaled Conservatives” who sabotaged Romney voting 3rd party.

Not that I think your votes matter. I am certain Obama lose the election due to the horrific economy. But just in case he should steal the election by the slimmest of margins by voter fraud, I’ll be there to tell you “I told you so” every time Obama destroys another of our previous constitutional rights.

Free Republic is suffering an ideological divide between those who think we can survive another 4 years of Obama and so are fighting for the future soul of the GOP, and those who are not currently concerned about the future soul of the GOP because it won’t matter if we don’t survive the next 4 years under Obama.

That explains the contentious division here in a nutshell.

It is those who fear Obama’s impact on the nation most vs. those who fear Romney’s impact on the GOP most.
