We don't know what Mitt is exactly....he is still an order of magnitude better than Obama.

So you don't know if he will or won't be worse than Obama.....because "we don't know what Mitt is exactly"... but he's just got to better than Obama somehow.

Maybe you just don't really know how politics and political parties work? When a conservative like Bachmann, Coburn, DeMint, etc, and soon Santorum, Newt, Palin, etc, endorse guys like Romney, many people here act all shocked and surprised. The reason is becausese many people don't understand how political party's function. To get anywhere or get anything done, politicians RELY on the party and those in it for support and backing for the things they want to do. They are all in the same boat, they depend on one another. That is the point of a party. If Palin runs again, for example, she will need Republican support in a general election - therefore she will give it to other Republicans when they need it.

Romney is coming up through the Republican party, therefore he is MORE beholden to Republicans than Obama or any Democrat. That means he has to at least consider what Republicans and conservatives want. Which means if he pisses the party base off on something, he has to throw them an extra bone somewhere else (which very often comes in the form of court nominees). Obama does not have to do ANY of that. Republican and conservative opposition to Hussein is something he takes pride in and uses on the campaign trail. Obama simply doesn't have to care what Republicans/conservatives want at all.

The choice is really not difficult here. Any nominee coming out of the Republican party at this point in time is going to be better than any nominee coming out of the Democrat party - simply based on what party the nominees are beholden to. Your vote is not an affirmative endorsement of a candidate, it is simply a choice between the only 2 candidates that have any chance to win.
