Former Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has accused right-wing Americans of being responsible for the lack of peace between Israel and the Palestinian Authority. Wealthy Americans ousted him from power and derailed negotiations, he told CNN.
Olmert said he was committed to reaching peace, “But I had to fight against superior powers, including millions and millions of dollars that were transferred from this country [the United States] by figures which were from the extreme right wing that were aimed to topple me as prime minister of Israel.”
Olmert left office amidst accusations of corruption involving several different affairs. His bureau chief has since been convicted in one case.
He declined to name specific individuals who gave money to get him out of office, but said, “I know the names.”
He argued that most Israelis would have supported his planned deal with the PA.

While Truman was the first to recognize the authority of the Israeli provisional government, the Soviet Union was the first nation to accord de jure recognition of Israel on 5/17/1948.
The soviet objective was to humiliate GB. A few years later, they were the first, via Czechoslovakia, to arm Egypt in defiance of the Tripartite Agreement.

We need to understand that there are big-time Quislings, “closet” anti-Semites, and yes, a few really REALLY stupid Israelis (also in our own government). For this poor old guy, let’s suggest he “make peace” (with whom? will they hold their knives back long enough to sign a document with him) ... let him give away the rest of the land of Israel and compress his State into, say, one room at the Tel Aviv Hilton Hotel. Of course, he would have to agree to fly his national flag only on the inside of the room, and to check out at the end of the week. (What a complete idiot!)
