A 16-year-old male has been arrested after a gang of black youths armed with rocks violently beat a white couple in an unprovoked attack.
Reporters Marjon Rostami and Dave Forster were waiting at a red light at the intersection of Brambleton Avenue and Church Street in Norfolk, Virginia, on April 14 when they were set upon by the 30-strong mob.
But the couple's ordeal was not reported by their employer, the Virginian-Pilot, for two weeks, sparking outrage among some readers who claim the newspaper buried the story for political reasons.
The arrested teen, whose name has not being released because of his age, has been charged with throwing a missile at a vehicle, as well as two counts of simple assault by mob, destruction of property and participation in a riot.
Rostami and Forster were driving back from a concert on the night of the attack when a teenager, who was part of a larger group, threw a rock at their stationary vehicle after reportedly witnessing Rostami lock her car door.
Forster got out of the car to confront the assailant, which is when ‘wave after wave of young men surged forward to take turns punching and kicking their victim,’ according to a column by Michelle Washington, which was the Virginian-Pilot's first report of the incident.

The couple said that there were around 100 youths in the vicinity and 30 in close proximity to their car during the assault.
A day after the unprovoked attack, Forster scoured the internet to see if the incident had been reported, according to Washington's column.
But he was shocked by one Twitter post. 'I feel for the white man who got beat up at the light,' one person wrote. 'I don't,' added another. '(do it for trayvon martin)'.

I am from Northern Virginia, not from the southeast Norfolk. Norfolk is a dangerous place. The press is very liberal, and clearly the police chief likes keeping her job. I am thankful for the coverage in the UK Daily Mail, because it has been a hidden story in the US and VA, even though it involved newspaper employees. Be very careful at night in US cities and towns controlled by liberals.

Funny how a large crowd disperses at the first site of THEIR OWN blood, may not stop them but put a few of them down and make your move - for the most part all cowards and would run at the prospect of being confronted violently.
Of course, the ‘white guy’ that shot into a crowd of 100 black yutes would have some ‘splainin to do....
Before the ‘FLAMING’ starts, if a crowd of upwards of 30 people were trying to set upon me, I don’t feel my chances of survival are pretty good, so I definitely will take out as much trash as I can..

Once about 20 years ago in San Francisco a group of these types of angry “youths” surrounded me in my new red Celica. There must have been 40 of them and they swarmed my car and started pounding on it. Broad daylight. Being a single white woman in the wrong neighborhood was my crime I guess. Anyhow I just put my foot on the gas and drove. The ones in front didn’t want to get run over so they parted ways with me. No way would I have gotten out of my car to confront them. Only a fool would do that, in my opinion.
Marjon Rostami - I should have realized what locking the door looked like. I can understand their reaction. I hope they accept my apology.
Dave Forster - I realize I shouldn't have confronted them. My actions that night were wrong and completely out of character.

I don’t think loud noises are going to bother anyone raised on rap “music”;) ...They had an invention in S. Africa that was basically a flamethrower mounted under the car and angled outward of the driver’s side door. Probably would be illegal here, though;)

Thanks to this article I think I’ve settled an ongoing debate with myself. I had been undecided on my concealed carry piece. I had been debating the merits of the Glock 19 vs 17. I’m going with the higher capacity 19. Feels better in my hand anyway. So what if it is slightly larger. If anyone notices, that’s just a message: don’t tread on me. A 19 with a spare magazine gives me 34 rounds. Think I’ll carry another spare magazine or two in the car too.
Too bad we have to wait for a Brit Paper to publish this news in order for us to see it...

In fact, this is the explanation that is officially given, in so many words. By my recollection, in this particular case a police spokesman said that these crowds of kids gathered routinely and looked for trouble. Hence, the incident was unremarkable. In the case of the murdered British tourists similar official remarks were made. I.e. "They were just in the wrong place at the wrong time." Whaddaya gonna do?

SOME places in Detroit, you do not want to stop for red lights, but use discretion because it is still illegal to run them.

And for those who insist these events aren’t a group thing, this Norfolk example puts the lie to that. We are long overdue for a frank national discussion about urban black thug culture.
This has been getting coverage here in Hampton Roads. A first the Chief of Police said it was no big thing, just simple assault. When local TV news kept airing the story she changed it to simple assault by mob. She seems to be sticking to the “handful of people involved”. I thought one TV interview was telling, to paraphrase – the young black male said that they weren’t welcome in their neighborhoods so why should whites be welcome here?
If there were no black people liberals would have to invent them.
Kind of hard fighting them off with a feather duster, you bought it you own it, we can never allow them to do the same here..............

During the race riots of the '60s, I was in my Great Uncle's car. AShead of us, there were about 20 Blacks shaking/rocking a car in what looked like an attempt to turn it over. When they saw us coming, they let the car go and and blocked the road waiting for us. My Uncle said a few "bad" words and told me not to look in case they stayed in front of him - he then stepped on it, hit the horn and dared the SOBs to stay where they were. They all managed to get out of the way, but he was not going to stop if they didn't. Anyone who stays put for fear of hurting the mob is nuts.

The story of Norfolk happens in both. Delete Norfolk and insert St Louis or Kansas City and you have your story.
