President Barack Obama kicked off his re-election campaign Saturday at rallies in Ohio and Richmond, where he cast the election as a choice between policies of the past or progress, and "a make-or-break moment" for the middle class.
Before a boisterous crowd of about 8,000 at Virginia Commonwealth University, in the capital of a swing state that could be key to his securing a second term, Obama said that while the nation's economy still faces headwinds, it's making progress.
He presented himself as a fighter for the middle class and cast presumptive GOP nominee Mitt Romney as a potential president who will "rubber stamp" the agenda of conservatives in Congress.
"But Virginia, I tell you what, we can't give him the chance. Not now. Not with so much at stake. This isn't just another election. This is a make-or-break moment for America's middle class," he said to an eruption of applause.

Another 4yrs and there won’t be an America we recognize, anymore. I hardly recognize parts of it, now.
Obama has a new deffinition of what is middle class: Middle class = welfare drones surviving off the hard work of the white worker class taxpayers.
So given that, he’s correct. He’s for that.
The biggest injustice in the world is the so-called American white middle class. He’s been taught this his entire life. So he’s redefining just what middle class means.
You don’t remember all the wannabee thugs and gangbangers back in the 60’s and 70’s? Or the noise and filth masquerading as music? Or the meth labs, crack houses, chop shops, drug whores, drive-bys and squatters? You don’t recall the “gay pride parades” and the openly homosexual servicemembers, the pedophiles and the almost monthly scandals and the thievery?
What is interesting is that a lot of the people who voted Obama in 2008 are turning against him. Of course the GOP selected Mittens, so they might just swing back to Obama.
You are mis reading the situation, they are turn against "the one" because he is not leftist enough for them. Those disaffected Obama voters want Communism and they want it now.

There are far more disaffected Obama voters who turned against him because they thought he was a centrist and a healer and found it he is a Communist and a divider. I know many of them who in the last year have begun to apologize to anyone who will listen for voting for Obama. It’s a wonderful sight to see and hear.
Please post ANYTHING that supports your claim. I am not seeing that at all. The libs I know think he is too moderate. By now we should have had socialized medicine, out of all wars and GITMO closed. They are pissed for the opposite reason you give.
I haven’t heard the first person that I know voted for him say that they were not voting for him again. If fact, they do not believe that he has don anything wrong. They do say that, if the Republicans would leave him alone, he would “straighten out the mess the Country is in” though.
I remember back to the early 50s, and some of those ugly sides to our society. But IIRC, it wasn’t as widespread or as publicized or politicized/PC’d as it’s been in the past 15-20yrs. Or am I just imagining things?
As long as they don’t vote for him, who cares what the reason is?
I know people who voted for him who felt he was going to magically transform the nation. They see now that his ideas of transform are different from theirs.

Same with “working families,” which refers to families where no one works.
I cannot believe any intelligent human being who has suffered through the last 4 years is buying Obama’s BS.

Obama is now restricted to campaign rallies in college gyms and labor union halls. And.....even then, he cannot up fill up the halls or arenas. Yesterday at his heralded campaign opener in Ohio, 4,300 seats out of 18,000 seats remained empty in the college arena where he chose to offically open his campaign. Hope & Change ain’t working so well.
