Contempt For Holder? Not a Wise Move(barf alert)
finance.townhall.com ^ | 6 May, 2012 | Jeff Carter

Republicans actually have a nice story to tell. The economy sucks. Anyone with a brain knows it is being floated with money printed by the Federal Reserve. The world economy sucks. Europe is going to go into a deep slow down. Italy, Spain, Greece and France will go off the cliff.

The economies of Britain and Germany will be on a hamster wheel. All their production and growth will go into a state of “just staying even”. They will be like traders that have a bad position, losing you money each day, but your day trading keeps you afloat.

It is painfully obvious to the casual observer that the attorney general Obama selected, Eric Holder, is nothing more than a political hack with some extreme biases. Fast and Furious is a horrible way to try and get back door gun legislation. Sort of a “by any means necessary”, version of politics.

But, instead of using him as a punching bag to defeat Obama, they may make him a martyr for the left to rally around. Holder definitely lied. But unlike the 1970's when the press helped House and Senate Democrats go after the Nixon administration, the mainstream press today will support Holder.

It is highly doubtful that there will be a Deep Throat in the Obama administration. Political machines don’t work that way. They sniff out potential Deep Throats and turn them into chumbalones. Textbook example, Rod Blagojevich. You need to be well versed in the ways of Chicago politics to understand how the White House works.

Theoretically, the House Republicans are correct. Holder ought to be held in contempt. It’s the politics and how it spins where they are over reaching.

Tom Delay screwed up back in the Clinton administration when he shut the government down, and they will be screwing up today because Holder and his followers will charge racism, and hold this instance up as some sort of lynching-which it’s not.

While now is the time to press your bets at the political casino, this isn’t the table that you should be doing it at.

In other words, the Democrats control the MSM, so give up. Nonsense. The right has not had as much alternate media to work with since 1960. Trust in the MSM has fallen tremendously.

If we cannot save the Republic now, when will we be stronger?

This is why this guy is in the press profession, and not the political profession.

The Legislative and Judicial branches of the US government must NEVER exercise their obligation to check-and-balance the Executive branch while a white-African pResident is in office.

That would be so racist.

Carter misses the most important detail in the entire strategy: the Mexican perspective.

Tens of millions of Mexicans ***and their family members in the USA*** are livid about the US Government supplying the cartels with high powered weaponry that has killed thousands of innocents.

Mexicans knew about this more than a year ago and they cannot believe that Americans seem to ignore it.

Most conservatives think of Mexicans as poor and ready to break laws to get over the border. That is not accurate. Mexico has 120 million people. 70 million are indigent similar to our Native Americans; 25 million are middle class and 25 million are upper middle class to rich.

Although Mexico has problems on many levels there is no denying the fact that 30 million or more can travel legally back and forth on visa to the USA because of their social status.

The tens of millions of Mexican legal residents of the USA are nearly always related to the class of Mexicans that are free to travel back and forth.

The anger and shock of Fast and Furious literally comes over the border to affect millions of legal US citizens who are of Mexican descent.

The result is the typical Mexican-American who can legally vote will be tempted to not vote for Obama or to stay home all together.

That said, the democrats are masters of spin and we can bet they are crafting a spin now in response to a contempt action.

What would that spin be?

It won’t be racism, that won’t fly with Mexican-American voters.

Will it be Bush’s fault? Probably yes. This provides cover to Mexican-American voters to vote Obama.

So Issa and the other republicans better make sure the Stupid Party gets smart about what’s coming. They better be ready to counter the ‘Bush’s Fault’ spin. But of course they won’t because they believe the contempt action will succeed on the merits. This is why they are called the Stupid Party.

What should the Stupid Party do?

They should initiate discussion in the media at every chance they get to talk about Bush’s role in Fast & Furious. They need to get out in front of it and bury that angle of attack.

I don’t have any problem with this move.

Holder is indeed contemptible.

Psalm 15: 1 & 4a:

1 LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? who shall dwell in thy holy hill?

4a In whose eyes a vile person is contemned; but he honoureth them that fear the LORD.

“Bush’s role in Fast & Furious.”

President Bush had no role in FF. Zero/none, it started with Zero in 2009.

“Contempt for Holder, that’s contempt for black men everywhere This is racists!!!”

Just waiting for the race pimps on the left to start spewing non sequiturs and the usual lazy, excuse-laden drivel

I know that, you know that.

But you missed the point.

The point is that the public will be led to believe by the MSM that gun running started with Bush. The MSM may even drum up Iran-Contra.

I personally believe that Obama will win reelection and face a Republican Senate and House that may just start impeachment proceedings against him because I believe he has tried to cover up the evidence of F&F. I believe this is why Holder is not releasing the documents to Issa.

Say what?

Don't even think about it? They'll call you a racist if you say anything?

If you are (were) white and breathing (or not) they call you a racist!

It's all they got -- all they ever had. Only it don't work anymore.

Honest people finally realized that no matter how much you yield they still hate you.

No, in other words...let's not create a martyr.

Obama is doing a good job of hanging himself lately. I'd hate to help create a left-wing martyr right now to save him.

Will the citation help sink him or help him swim? Sometimes stuff does the opposite of what we think. This is something to think about.

What do you base your ‘guess’ on? Political analysts have it just the opposite.
