I have good and sufficient reason to totally detest Obama and everything he has said, done and initiated that his religion is completely irrelevant to me. I don’t care if the guy is supposedly a Muslim. Never bothered to check, and even so it would mean precisely nothing. Sorry, I look at the person, not the religion. I KNOW I don’t like Obama. read all of the Nachum list and yes, I have posted from time to time on Obama threads.
The birther stuff - well I was doubtful, but am slowly coming around thanks to the sheer mass of information coming out. You know - it is hard to believe that that huge a con job could be pulled on an entire nation - the essence of the big lie technique.
The Muslim stuff - I simply never cared. You have no religious test for holding office, so really - who gives a crap?
Same thing with Romney. Your GOP was dumb enough to chose him (I worked rather hard for Newt) but his religion is no more a bar to him being President than him being an avowed atheist would be. (OK, that was possibly a bad example on a conservative site ....)
On the week leading up to Easter I was reading the Catholic threads posted by the ever patient Salvation (not pinging her as this thread would make someone I really like cry) I didn’t see you there - does that mean you are godless?

I just posted upthread that I am going to be out for an hour or so (work, and why the heck can’t you guys have the same bank holidays as us!), but I would really like your explanation on the bill of rights thing and where I was wrong on the interpretation.
Your bill of rights is a bit like our common law, but the interpretation is not the same - to me it is sort of like the cognates between Latin and English. You get the rough idea but not the fine detail!
I like talking, sure - but I like learning more!
