Are you an ABO like me PO'd at JR for getting called a RINO? Truce declared! Please DONATE!

Attention "Anyone But Obama" (ABO) FReepers! If you go to the thread at the link you will will see that JimRob has "declared a truce" and hundreds of ABO FReepers are now vigorously defending their belief, which I share, that the ineligible Marxist Manchurian MUST BE DEFEATED to preserve the Republic...without fear of "the ZOT"! Please consider a DONATION not just to fund renewal of expression and amplification of your ABO views, but let's over-achieve this FReepathon to get JR his new equipment!

IMO, Free Republic and FReepers could be vital in swing states in rallying just enough conservatives to tip the election and prevent our troops from having to salute for even one day longer than necessary an ineligible Marxist committed to destroying the USA !

If Mitt Romney was President and he felt that going to war with country X would further the mission of the Mormon Church, he would do it.........

..... He has swore on his life under oath...to do everything in ‘his power’ to further the mission of the Church....would that include using this country and the Presidential office Romney has already sworn on his life, which to do otherwise would mean of his own eternal damnation?????

. .......How can he swear allegiance to the American people when he’s already sworn on his very soul... “to obey the Mormon President”.... .....and to give everything he has to build up the Mormon Church?

And why is no one bringing this up????

Romney has sworn his life, his possessions, and his eternal soul to a particular church, which happens to fill every definition of a cult.......... That is a relevant fact when we are considering whether to ask him to swear his allegiance to the American people.

The voting public is not doing their job if they think they can choose a President without considering where that candidate’s loyalties lie.

it happened to some of the most thoughtful long-term, proven conservatives, and it frankly made me think that the forum itself was done for.

Agree. I would like to think it was stealth dems in here trying to start sh*t, but it was the mods themselves who were the bullies.

That's right, I said it. (h/t Mark Levin)

Not sure how FR recovers from it, considering all the other online options we have now.

Islam is a religion for sure. It is a murderous religion that preaches dominance of the soul, body, family, nation, and the world. In order to accomplish complete dominance, it has political and military enforcers.

Wherever its political and military enforcers are weak, the religion is not practiced to its potential. But, when its enforcers have power, Islam as a religion is practiced to its core.

To me, respecting the conscience of fellow FReepers includes NOT declaring my own ABO view to be the only Biblical view and NOT declaring the voting intentions of another FReeper to be a vote “for evil.”

Well as you said...that is "to you"...others will disagree because we all know Romney is bad for this country....that is a given. But you are free to vote for him....but you are not free to expect that to go unchallenged on a Conservative site....Romney is a socialist...I do not vote for socialists nor support those who do.

My take on it is, if you belong to Abrahamic religions (Bábism, Bahá'í Faith, Christianity), Gnosticism, Islam, Judaism, Rastafari movement, Mormonism, Mandaeans and Sabians, Samaritanism, Unitarian Universalism, Indian religions such as Ayyavazhi, Bhakti Movement, Buddhism, Din-i-Ilahi, Hinduism, Jainism, Sikhism, Iranian religions such as Manichaeism, Mazdakism, Mithraism, Yazdânism, Zoroastrianism, or East Asian religions such as Confucianism, Shinto, Taoism or any African diasporic religions, or Indigenous traditional religions, or any African religion, or any native American religion, or any Eurasian, or any Oceania/Pacific religion, or any of the Cargo cults such as Historical polytheism, Ancient Near Eastern, Indo-European, Hellenistic or Mysticism and Occult, or Esotericism and mysticism, or Occult and magic, or Neopaganism , or Syncretic, or Ethnic, or any of the New religious movements such as Creativity, New Thought, Shinshukyo, Left-hand path religions, or any Fictional religions, or any Parody or mock religions......

..... then you worship EVIL ITSELF and YOU MUST BE DESTROYED, HERETIC.

We are all pro-Life, pro-Liberty pro-small government, self-governing, responsible adult conservatives here. We shouldn’t need nannies to force us to behave ourselves

Fair enough. I've never expected the Mods to be nannies. Their job is hard enough.

I guess it's just that when pro-Life, pro-Liberty, pro-small government, self-governing, responsible adult conservatives get called "evil" or even supporters of evil repeatedly, it makes us wonder what's going on.

Incidentally, I've been privately thanked for voicing publicly what many others have been thinking. I'm not alone in wanting the madness to end. I love verbal fisticuffs and defending my very conservative views, but I'm not too fond of being called evil (on a conservative forum) because I hate Marxism.

Now I know? Hah! Look, I made the conscience decision years ago to continue on with FR as an exclusive pro-God, pro-Life, pro-family, pro-limited government, pro-liberty, pro-traditional American grassroots conservative site regardless of how far deeply into depravity and socialism the Republican party delves. Romney has been and still is as far as I can see pro-abortionism, pro-homosexualism, pro-socialism. He still pushes the socialist RomneyCare system, complete with abortion and death panels, planned parenthood involvement, subsidies, mandates and tax penalties against the citizens, etc, and he still pushes global warming, stimulus spending, bailouts, homosexuals in the military, class warfare, progressive taxes, etc, and even though his entire record is that of a liberal progressive and he has absolutely zero conservative accomplishments to his name, and in fact has stated that he loathes Ronald Reagan conservatism, yet the elite establishment GOP STILL pushes him.

I refuse to go along with this tyranny and mass hysteria. Now don’t tell me I don’t know why things are down.

I could be rich if I’d just take the easy path, kowtow to the company line and go along to get along.

But then, this is Free Republic!!

We ARE the resistance!!

Resisting tyranny is not necessarily the popular way, but is the right thing to do.

No, Mr. Robinson, that isn’t what I’m after at all. What I was after was to provide an example of what Osage Orange asked for in post #9 of this thread as well as a name, which he also asked for.

I don’t have any chums here, in fact I do not actually know a single person that posts here on any sort of personal basis or otherwise. I do know one other person that reads here, however, and that would be my mother.

It frankly does not matter to me how other people, outside of my family, perceive me or not. I am who I am. I always have been, and I always will be. I walk the path I walk, because Jesus Christ set me on that path, and the decisions I make are made in my best understanding of Him and what I think He would want me to do, but sometimes my understanding of Him is faulty.

Not sure how FR recovers from it, considering all the other online options we have now.

An actual enforced truce would be a good start.

If conservatives aren't unified against Marxism and in getting an outright villainous tyrant out of the WH, I don't hold out much hope for any earthly thing any more.

If Obama gets another four years, we're all going to have to pray for the strength to endure the dark days ahead. And anyone who minimizes what he will do needs to wake up.

I got mocked by someone imagining himself to be more conservative than I am, for stating the very real threat this great Republic is under.

If conservatives sleep through this election, and even hope for an Obama win (some have actually stated that they do, or said it won't be that bad), every liberty we have is threatened, and those of us who are Christian and conservative will be in the most danger.

I never thought I'd be saying that kind of thing, even a few years ago, but after seeing what Obama has done in 3 years, I think I understand the very real peril we are in.

No mea culpa warranted, intended or given. I was simply proposing that the conservative FReepers and grassroots tea party conservatives quit tearing each other apart. When our conservative grassroots organizations are destroyed, the progressives win.

And I stated in the same post that I personally cannot support Mitt Romney for president regardless of who else may endorse him.

But we have a huge fight coming after the elections regardless of who wins. It’s in our best interest as grassroots conservatives to unite behind the conservatives running in all other races across this great land to increase our majorities where we hold them and retake them where we don’t, and to man the barricades against tyrannical government at every level!! The barbarians are in the gate!!

We are the resistance!!

If not us, who?

If somebody’s trying to hijack a thread that is non religious and change the subject, if you’re so moved, call them on it. Maybe others on the thread will agree too.

I really don't want to see any Freepers removed other than the obvious trolls. Heck people with differing opinions make me constantly re-examine mine and learning something is half the fun of Him giving me another day on this side of the grass. Stay well, and stay around please.

Not planning on going anywhere. :)

And ditto to the learning from differing views, and constantly re-examining our own because we read them.

I've been a life long conservative, but have honed some of my views because of things I've learned here.

If that's going to end because people are in danger of being zotted for expressing those differing, but still conservative views, then this forum can't recover.

I have some hope now that things will settle down and we can begin working together instead of eating our own.

Nobody here says religions are not equal in the sense they are allowed to exist and people can pick whatever one they want to join (or leave) freely. Perhaps except the muslims leaving freely.

However they are not all equal in the sense that people will say they all are correct. Not even all other religions will say that. Some may say “multiple paths” but not all will, and not all will clarify which others they say are valid other paths.

No religion is above and protected from scrutiny and criticism. Nor should they be. Christianity, which I am assuming is the one you’re beefing about here, is hardly protected from criticism and ridicule even here. No group here gets a free pass or gets to have sacred cows that can’t be touched. If you think that, you only been selectively browsing the religious forum. Much less other articles that posters bring up Christianity in them.

Who gets to define what “bashing” is?

Does that mean you can never bring up any points/facts about a religion that are unpleasant but real?

Who is the going to be the arbiter? Who gets to set the standards about what is “bashing” and what is fair to point out, or take issue with, or have a debate about?
