What Sarkozy Loss Really Means for America
Breitbart.com ^ | May 6, 2012 | Joel B. Pollak

The mainstream media will attempt to spin French President Nicholas Sarkozy's loss today to Socialist challenger François Hollande as a rejection of "austerity" policies--and to urge American voters to reject the deficit-cutting politics of the Tea Party when we go to the polls in November. In fact, there are important lessons from France--and they are the precise opposite of what the media is telling us.

First, to call Sarkozy's policies "austerity" is to insult both austerity and socialism. The French government--like other European governments--sought to close its budget gap primarily by raising taxes, not by cutting the size and cost of government. Neither Sarkozy nor Hollande had the courage to confront the basic, failed structure of France's welfare-state economy, which is the fundamental cause of its budget problems.

Insofar as French politicians have relied on tax increases as the key to deficit reduction, that is far closer to the policy of U.S. President Barack Obama and his Democrats than to the approach of the Tea Party and the Republicans. Even so, American media commentators like Joan Walsh and Paul Krugman are blaming Congress and "austerity" for slow economic growth--though federal spending keeps growing.

I must agree with you, we are witnesses to the end of the age. Time is short.

I hate to resort to cliches, but here goes.

Repent, the end is near.

Too late. We already are one and it’s only going to get worse whether Maobama or the happy Mormon liberal does.

I see France folding up in a year—look to see a rise in Anti-Semitism and Anti-Americanism —they will borrow from Arabs to fund the People’s utopia. Until they treasury runs dry. Things will get worse after that riots and problems.

I don’t know. When France can’t pay their bills and strikes and riots paralyze the country it will make a good backdrop of why Obama must go.

“The French government—like other European governments—sought to close its budget gap primarily by raising taxes, not by cutting the size and cost of government.”

CORRECT.

But ther is something simpler: France’s economy is in the dumps and the people dump the incumbent when that happens.

THIS RESULT MEANS OBAMA IS IN BIG HEAP TROUBLE.
The US voters will do what voters in other countries have done - dump the incumbents.

the frech are actually late to the party. we have already had our episode of national delusion in which we elected a socialist. we will be de-electing him in six months.

Don't start celebrating just yet - maybe in 2017, but right now we are looking at replacing one anti-gun, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage socialist with another anti-gun, pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage socialist and it's going to be a rough four and a half years.

“we will be de-electing him in six months.”

So how does this help the US?

His replacement is going to be another liberal socialist from the one republicrat oligarchy party ruling America.

That party could be another acronym for ROP.

The religion of peace (ROP) is hell bent on destroying America, and the republicrat oligarchy party (ROP)is helping with their fascist methodology that is forcing big government rule on America that the people do not want.

Re: “Sarkozy lost because.....he lacked the courage to make the harsh but necessary reforms to set France right.”

Wrong.

Sarkozy lost because France is a democracy.

Sarkozy lost because the moderate Socialists were outvoted by the hard line Socialists.

America will have the same election in 6 months.

And, quite possibly, the same outcome.

“Sarkozy lost because the moderate Socialists were outvoted by the hard line Socialists.”

A socialist is a patient communist.

A moderate socialist has more patience than a hard line socialist.

They all get you there, sooner or later.

“It is time for us to lead with the strength of Jesus Christ. It is time for us to lead or die.”

Actually it’s time to lead with the strength of constitutionally conservative ideals like limited government, and fiscally sound policies.

However, folks are not yet ready to vote for this in a majority. They will be soon enough though.

Jesus Christ lets us wallow in our own politics, as we well deserve.

I keep telling them that Romney in office would be worse than an impeached Obama. Romney will walk Souter-type SCOTUS nominees through to replace Scalia and Thomas. Then we'll find out later that Romney's nominees are all Loggies and GOProud and PFLAG members.

If you could somehow get both Obama and Biden out of there by the impeachment route (did you say, "Fast & Furious"?), then the House could unseat Boehner as Speaker just in time to confirm someone like, say, ACU 100%'er Darrel Issa as Speaker, and next in line to the Presidency. Then replace Issa with, oh, say, Peter King or Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.

Just my thinking out loud.

No, I’m sorry, the constitution of america comes after Jesus Christ.

God is being driven out of America, and it is apparent. Without God, there really is no moral compass, and without morality, there is only the horde. Man cannot govern himself without morality. That is key, RFEngineer.

When I know what is right and what is wrong and that My Lord expects me to do what is right, then I don’t need some person in Washington or anywhere else telling me anything at all.

What is missing in America is Jesus Christ, and that is the root of all of our woes.

“No, I’m sorry, the constitution of america comes after Jesus Christ.”

For you personally, I am sure that is true.

As Americans, our freedoms are God-given and codified under the divinely-inspired Constitution.

Jesus Christ takes no position on US politics, as far as I am aware, if He did, it wouldn’t look good for Democrats or Republicans.

Vote how you feel inspired, but don’t claim Christs blessing for political ends. That never ends well for anyone.

I’m not.

What I’m saying is that we now live in an amoral country, and the reason for that is because Christ has been systematically removed from our country.

Without a moral compass, people cannot even determine in which direction the constitution is located.

In other words, we are lost, and that is plain to see.
